Thank you for starting the March chat @Dovefromabove. Spring is here!! We should see a big difference in our gardens by the end of this month - I’m ready for the busy days pottering, tidying, sowing and planning.
Just back from a hair cut 💇♀️ I really needed it! I was telling the hairdresser about when we all cut each other’s hair at work in the pandemic - not sure if she was horrified or impressed.
Take care all. Hope everyone with health stuff going on can be boosted with thoughts of Spring.
A big bunch of Daffodils and a plate of Welsh Cakes to everyone.
OH is still cutting my hair ... he's much cheaper than DIVA ... I have an appointment in his studio this afternoon.
It's amazing what rats come out of the sewer when your name gets in the papers isn't it? Son has just had a demand for £160 for a parking charge in pub car park in Lowestoft dating from 2017 ... !!!
I really don't think the poor lass on the phone was ready for a very angry and tearful mum telling her exactly where her son is, how he is, and why no one will ever be paying a 6 year old 'charge' to creeps like them ... and if I hear any more about it I'll be going to the press!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can Dove do histrionics?!?!! Can she heck!!!!! 😡😡😡
I've told her I'm sending her a copy of a To Whom it May Concern letter from the hospital and that's the last I expect to hear from them .......ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh no, @Dovefromabove, how horribly stressful for you. I wouldn't have thought a parking fine was valid after all that time.
Stressful for you too @Hostafan1. I had experience of that after first OH died, got a tax bill for business tax. I had to pay it as it was done in arrears. Selling his dental surgery in France was a bit of a nightmare, I was lucky to sell it all all, got a lot less than he paid for it. The Gov. had cut down the numbers of dentists in training. Now, of course, there is a shortage.
It's not even a fine @Busy-Lizzie ... it's a 'charge' and legally unenforceable ... from the vehicle reg I think it was my son's van (no longer owned by him) and if I remember correctly he was likely to have been loading/unloading a band performing at the pub ... so just chancers trying it on really.
Theyve made no attempt to communicate with him about it in the 6 years since it's alledged to have happened ...
It might be a coincidence ... but I doubt it ...

Glad to read that Forkers are giving the powers that be what for!
That shower bed sounds amazing Dove!
I can't believe it's March already - normally January goes on for about 6 weeks and then the February days generally last longer than usual but this year they have whizzed by.
I was reading about a community composting scheme yesterday so googled it today and our county it seems is quite keen on the idea and there could be funding available to set one up in our neck of the woods. But not sure I have the time/energy to take on another project. What I really want is access to decent compost, stuff with microorganisms in it in greater quantities than I can get out of my dalek. Not too much to ask is it?
The sun has come out but the temperature is still under 10°C. And it's windy.
Thank you for the introduction to March - the month of crazies!!! Good on you @Dovefromabove Hit them in the bunky-ido!! @Hostafan1 has different tactics! I hope you will feel better @AnnaB after a visit to your doctor.
In spite of the cold, it is nice to see the days gradually getting longer.
Hi folks, A busy few days for me. I've had lots of nanna duties and have spent a lot of time running Hubby around to Physios, Doctors and Therapists. No time for the garden, although I have bought some violas just haven't had time to plant them. My seeds arrived from Chiltern today so I can start planning what and when to sow. Have spent quite a bit of time cheering up my BFF as she had to put her cat down. She was 17 and had some sort of seizure that sent her blind and affected her kidneys. BFF lives alone so she kept her company. It's sad but she had a great life and was spoiled rotten. Hugs to everyone that needs them and well done to those who stood up to bullies.

Good way for you to have a vent though! You’ll be needing a coffee and Welsh Cake a bit sharpish then ☕️

I'm sorry you are still feeling so grotty @AnnaB.
We had a call from the hospital this morning to see how OH is. Glad to take off his tight support stockings.
