One work shift cancelled and one postponed due to atrocious weather. 😡 Have a great time at the folk festival @AnnaB, have you ever been to folk East festival?.... That's close to us... Any way enjoy the music and safe travels.

    Morning all.

When I looked out at 2am the garden was gleaming white in the moonlight but by morning the snow had nearly all gone.

OH had a bad night. Sleeping on his back just doesn't suit him, yet he can sleep sitting on the sofa in front of the TV.

Not sure what to do today, another take it easy day probably. Thinking back a few years ago I always seemed to be busy, huge house, huge garden, horses, dogs, cats, now all that has gone. Maybe I should change my name to Lazy Daisy.

Hi folks, Its been snowing steadily over the last 23 hours but it's stopped now and isn't very deep.  Art Class has been cancelled so I'll be staying in today.  Luckily we had shopping  delivered last night so we have all we need.  The log fire is roaring and it's cosy in the sitting room so we are very lucky.
Glad things are moving in the right direction for Rob.  Dove and Wonky must be relieved.

Morning everyone,  the snow has all gone here.  It must be the season for blood tests as I had mine this morning.  I went early because you are supposed to sit for 10-15 mins before but they called me straight in again. They did BP straight away but I  had to say I had just walked there & please do it at the end, but no, so of course it was a bit up 140 something,  so they did it again but within about 2min it was down to 133. It really bothers me that these so called nurses don't seem to understand the basics.

Light snow showers here and it’s not sticking thank goodness. However, round and about it is worse - we are in a valley so have a degree of protection, but the higher ground suffers much more, so Sheffield, parts of Barnsley, Leeds etc tend to get the brunt.
Glad we decided to do the SM shop on Tuesday instead of today, which is the day we usually choose.

Our snow is all gone, thank goodness. Pretty for a day but a bloomin' nuisance

That's awful @Red maple.  I recently added my SIL to my insurance and it went down! Presumably because they thinking being younger than me there is less risk when he drives my car!  But my daughter, in her 50s, is finally getting serious about learning to drive and wants to go on my insurance as well as my car is more learner friendly than the pick up they have (for his work).  That will push it up I'm sure!

There were some snow flurries here yesterday but it didn't settle.  Bitterly cold though.

Glad there are signs of improvement @Dovefromabove - it will be wonderful when he can finally leave the ICU.

We're off to the theatre tonight.  Don't know what to expect - the person putting the show on is a brilliant pianist/composer but quite eccentric!

Speaking of Pianos - I think Mika and Lang Lang made the right decision each time - can't wait for the concert next week.
