Hope the roads are ok for you, @Dovefromabove
Our Road is impassable, luckily we have plenty in the freezer, but no milk.

Oh dear … black coffee then @punkdoc … or something a mite more warming? 😉

we have sleet here but that’s all. Don’t think it’s going to be too grim down here … if it is we’ll phone hospital and turn around and come home. The nurse said it’s just wet in Chelmsford.

Just stopped at Wrose to get some £1 coins for the car park.

Morning everyone,  sorry to hear about the snow up your way @punkdoc , hopefully you can brush the snow off  or it just melts fast.
Wet sleety stuff here. We went to a recording of the news quiz last night.  We were lucky with the rain, it was dry while we were waiting,  and it had obviously just stopped again when we came out. The news quiz was very good with some really good laughs.  Last in the series for now but if offered tickets again we would definitely go.

It's snowing properly now and settling in south Norfolk. I hope Dove's journey is OK. I think OH's prescrition and Sainsbugs will have to wait.

Properly snowing here now, but it doesn't seem to be settling - the ground is very wet from last night's rain.

OH has to go round to the surgery for a blood test and he can pick up my prescription for me, which is good.  But I do have to go into town later and I must confess I shall take the car.

Last nights trip to the local theatre was fun.  A gloriously chaotic evening of wonderful singing, playing and even comedy.  We had to imagine the portraits of the composers the pianist chose to play as he said he hadn't sorted them, so they weren't projected onto the screen (which throughout the evening showed a series of AI generated neon scenes). But he described them.  We were to imagine Rachmaninoff as having more hair than we usually see and holding a cigarette.  Great fun and some truly astounding performances.  Edited to add: not Rachmaninoff in the imagined picture but the other composer featured: Benno Moiseiwitsch.

Took me a while to walk to the g/h, I would guess snow is well over 2 foot deep. Also managed to break a pane, whilst clearing snow from the g/h roof.

Good afternoon and bon appétit to everyone who will be sitting down to lunch!

Better to be safe @Dovefromabove  it seems that there is a lot of snow falling about.  How comforting it must be for you that the hospital team are so efficient.

I hope you can replace the broken pane @punkdoc   Best not to wander around too much.  On the bright side .... France/England on Sunday!!!

It is extremely windy here with orange alerts out.  I took the car this morning to get about, perhaps not a good idea to cycle anywhere  It's horrendous!  Ca décoiffe!!!  The food markets were there  - a skeleton crew, but the clothes market was empty.  No mussels either as the diver couldn't dive this morning.  They come from l'Etang de Thau. Parks and gardens are closed due to falling branches.

Stay warm.  Stay in and be safe.

    no snow here, just overcast.
I've opened all the windows in the flat over the garage. I must get it organised and get someone living in there again.
Sorry about the snow / broken glass, missed hospital visits.
