I had my hair cut today. It rained, the meeting was yesterday, a friend I saw a month ago didn't notice but I never have something done that I can't do myself (which isn't much).
Stewing about that message - darn it! I didn’t need to be reminded of the type of ca. that took my eldest daughter from me and left her 5 year old son without a mother. Never mind, time goes and he is now a teenager. He seems to be ok, and has a stepmother to take her place. They live a long way away, so I don’t see him.
A bit of a hectic week for me, I'm popping over to the UK to see a friend in a bit of bother, and of course everything that could get messy did.
Charlie's dad got taken to hospital in a helicopter with heart problems, he's in intensive care, having lots of tests, monitoring and scans. All a bit of a panic, we don't know how long he will be in, I fly out today and won't be back to collect Charlie from school on Friday, and now more than likely his dad won't be either. I've got friends at the ready to collect him and put him up over the weekend, but Charlie just wants to stay at home alone, which I'm not happy about. All a bit up in the air at the moment.
I've no real information about his dad, he just said the doctors said something should be at 60 and is only at 30 and one of 3 arteries is now not 'working', impossible to put a stent in too, but apparently not the end of the world. His heart is just 'tired'. Hard to know for sure what it all means, I just know he can't get out of bed , all wired up, obviously being well cared for. I took Charlie to see him, he was very positive, says it's all a "lot of fuss about nothing". They do that you see, whizz people off in helicopters when it nothing.....
On a more positive note, the next level of the mortgage application got done, another box ticked.
All in all fingers crossed for everything at the moment.
Good morning all 😊 ☕️ my second coffee this morning is being made by Wonky 😘 Huge hugs to @Pat E.
Oh echium @D0rdogne_Damsel … no don’t let Charlie stay home alone … been there and done that … things can go wrong for even the most capable of lads … it’s bad enough when they’re really grown up … 😱 Just tell him it’s no reflection on him, but your nerves won’t stand it. 😉 Hope his dads health is sorted very soon. 🤞
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Dismal and grey here again today, although the sun made an appearance yesterday afternoon and it became quite warm!
Stay warm @Pat E Autumn is there no doubt and you probably have the same weather as we have here. Cold and then hot.
Sorry to hear about your second hair wash @Lizzie27 - always a nightmare, especially with the cost of the hairdresser these days. Mine is coming off next week. Yes, having my ears lowered......maybe a NZ expression!!
Enjoy your time away in the UK @D0rdogne_Damsel I agree with @Dovefromabove Better that Charlie is cross with you for a while than leave him "home alone". A "No" now and again doesn't hurt.
Seems like Rob is making determined progress @Dovefromabove Good news. I'm not sure if it gets any easier as the patient gets better!!
Today being the 30th March says: Souvent la Saint Amédée, est de mars la plus belle journée!!
Crikey, @D0rdogne_Damsel that sounds a lot to cope with, even more than usual. Sounds good advice from @Dovefromabove. Good luck with everything.
NDN is still in hospital. She caught Covid and social services are trying to sort out some home help. Her grandson is coming today to get rid of some of the piles of rubbish.
We must go to the SM today, weekly shop again. The weeks are flying by. Winter is over.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Take care all, good news about Rob @Dovefromabove.
I hope you get your holiday @Hostafan1
Great to hear people getting out in the garden, hopefully I'll be joining all in my own soon. 🤞 😁
