Great work @Hostafan1  - how's your back?!!  There's bindweed here too despite drought.  A never-ending story.

We have had a very hot day. 🤬. At least it’s dropped to 26c inside now at 9pm. Not my favourite kind of day..

Fingers crossed for Wednesday @D0rdogne_Damsel - buying a house is such a stressful experience.

Hope you have a good time in Croydon @Hostafan1 with your daughter and the little ones - bet they are growing fast now.

Being taken to Kew Gardens by the Chicklets for a Mother’s Day treat today.  Rumour has it that the Palm House is closing soon for a 5 year refurbishment so want to have a good look round before that.  There are patches of blue sky out there, so hoping they last for a bit.

We have those continental shutters @Hostafan1 😁 so most of the cold air stays outside.
Hope your calves get better, you still have a lot to do by the look of it. Meanwhile enjoy your daughter and grandchildren.

@D0rdogne_Damsel, you are in stressful situation, hopefully by Wednesday you would know one way or another but I am wishing you a totally compliant bank manager on the day. Fingers crossed.

I'd better go and check the pan on the stove now.

Here's a 🌹 for all you women and mothers.

Hope your NDN is OK @Busy-Lizzie.  More of that hard work like with the hemerocallis @Hostafan1 and you'll shift those pounds! Enjoy your visit.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a good outcome on Wednesday @D0rdogne_Damsel - they are keeping you waiting too long for a decision.

I should be at Clay Club!  But daughter rang last night to say my older granddaughter has covid and daughter feels unwell, although her test was negative.  So - Clay Club cancelled and also Mother's Day - we were to have a meal with them all today.

Younger granddaughter worried about getting covid as she is off on her skiing trip in a couple of weeks.  The girls have separate bedrooms, so she's in with a chance.

Glad you've been in the garden @punkdoc ... sounds nicer there than here ... it's a bit grey and chilly here still.  It was so good to 'run stuff past you' ... thank you so much for 'being there' 💛
I've done a bit of hsewk since our chat ... but sufficient unto the day etc, now I'll have a mug of soup and put my feet up and get the knitting out ... maybe there's a film on tv ... or perhaps a Vera in my recorded 'bank'.

    Hello all.
We've been to church (Ssh Hosta) and were given 2 posies of spring flowers, had coffee and malt loaf. OH's most active outing so far. He walked faster from the car park along the pavement than he has for a long time, still has crutches though.

I've rung the hospital. NDN has been admitted, but I'm not kin so they can't give out information. They will ask her if I can be on her contact list. I'm to ring back later.

A lovely long walk in the sun this morning, a bit slowly to accommodate our various aches and pains, but that gave us time to admire the blossom, and the new leaves opening on the trees. Home to a cup of tea, and a delivery of some pretty Mother’s Day flowers from the offspring. Now watching a pair of blue tits working away on the new nest box we put up.
Hope this taste of spring is a portent of better times to come, and of positive outcomes to everyone’s health, well being, and other worries.
