That's good news @Hostafan1. I'm astonished you were able to get through on the phone!

Oh dear, I'm so sorry. The grieving does get easier but it takes some time.

You'll get through it and out on the other side. At least it's Spring now and you have your lovely garden and all your hostas to console you and keep you occupied. I was thinking of those the other day, will you be able to identify and label most of them when they emerge? My potted one is not showing any signs of growth at all yet.

I've lost so many labels over the years, there are many which I can't identify any more.

Could you get hold of a hosta catalogue, if there is such a thing?

Happy St David's Day to all you lovely Forkers, spring is on its way!

Off to Docs this afternoon for one of those breath/puffy tests, then in to see lovely Doc tomorrow for results of latest blood test - and a lot of head scratching! Someone must know what is wrong with me coz life is pretty grotty right now and the garden needs attending to.

@Lizzie27 for a shower they transfer him to another ICU type bed in his room, but it has like a soft paddling pool  type of base over the mattress and soft plastic sides that pull up, and a plug hole.  They have a handheld shower and they can wash him all over, including his wounds, with sterile water, while he's still hooked up to all the drips and monitors and the ventilator ... it is nothing short of a miracle of modern medical engineering.  💙💙💙
