    Hi all

No snow yet, but down to minus 6 overnight. Have to admit, I am still in bed.

I agree with @Hostafan1, @Punkdoc and @Yviestevie . I was a teenager for a lot of the Thatcher years so I suppose somewhat shielded from the worst of it, but we bought our house here in Doncaster in 1988 and there was still a great deal of hardship in the mining communities around here. Memories are long, and she's still generally reviled.
PS Hello Forkers! I don't generally post in here but I just had to add to this discussion.

Morning all. Winter wonderland here on Surrey/Sussex/Hampshire border, 12cm of snow overnight. Bit of a shock for @chicky after a month in the Caribbean. Hope it doesn't disrupt hospital visits for @Dovefromabove

  • Thank you all to those who have commented on MS. I will try and get across the feelings of you all.

I might add, that the man I have met that worked for her tried to describe her as an Iron Lady with a soft centre...... :open_mouth:

I think a lot of a certain type of man had the hots for her!  Shudder.

Snow is now falling outside.  Glad my blood test at the surgery was earlier.

Just a bit of computer work to do and then I can watch rubbish on tv and do some beading.

Snowing here but nothing is sticking.  I haven't got the boys until Saturday so I'm hoping it's ok by then.  Wallpaper arrived today for the bathroom and the decorator came to take a look so just waiting for a quote and date.  I still need to get the paint but no rush.
Glad to hear that things are looking up a bit Dove, hugs for you and Wonky.
