@Dovefromabove @WonkyWomble Hope things improve for your son/bro quickly.  Having a guitar fanatic as a Hubby who has recently lost the ability to play due to a stroke I really hope that Rob can get back to playing again as it will be so important to him.  I know he will be thankful that he survived such a horrible event but to a musician being able to express themselves through music is such a major part of their existence.
    Hugs to you all.

@Yviestevie sorry to hear about your OH.
Guitar playing is meant to be excellent therapy for people who have had a stroke, is there no way he can do a bit?

I understand completely @Dovefromabove, instrument choice is a very personal thing, I know players who are  fussy about what make of strings they use. O to be good enough for that to matter to me 🤣
@Yviestevie, I  agree with slow-worm music is very powerful therapy,  in all sorts of ways.

Ah yes @Allotment Boy ... and then there's strings ... he only uses one make of strings and renews them frequently ...  B)

So sorry to hear about the accident, but it sounds like he is getting wonderful care. Positive thoughts and loving friends and family will get him through it all.

I'm glad to read from Dove's posts that things are moving in the right direction for Rob.

I’ve made a tiny donation, sent with very best wishes for your son, you and your family.  Please take care of yourself too, I know from personal experience how easy it is to lose sight of one’s own needs.  You will need strength for some time to come yet. 😘

I didn't realise you were @Dovefromabove's son @WonkyWomble - thinking of all you *three* (and more if there are more of you of course) and hope you're all doing ok. Thank you for the updates, it sounds like your brother is in great hands
