Is there way of keeping this very worthwhile post on the first page of new discussions to try to up the donations? I only check in about once a week and don't usually look beyond the first page. So it was just by luck I saw it yesterday - and I see today it has dropped down to the second page.

Thank you @AuntyRach, I wasn't wanting to save it for myself as I've already seen it and donated, and I know how to find it. I wondered if there was a way of keeping it up front so others, like me, who don't visit ever day, could be made aware of it?
Just read the update on the Go Fund Me site. There are some very generous donations which is nice to see, but obviously even the smallest donation also helps make the difference. He is clearly well liked by so many. Fingers crossed for him.
Rob is doing so well physically and feeling more like himself too. It’s great to see. 😄
However he does still need help in the night, cos he has to wear hand splints at night so can’t do anything for himself with those on … this means that with the best will in the world I am feeling a bit tired 🥱 so I’ve spoken to the hospital and as it’s only a few days since they saw him they’ve changed today’s clinic appointment to next Thursday. They’ve told me what to do about changing his dressings and creaming the grafts, and I’m taking his temperature to check for signs of infection, and any wounds I’m not happy with I’ll photograph and text to them to see if they need to see him earlier. They quite understood that his poor old mum must be a bit kn@ckered after a 5 hour drive every other day since it all happened. 🥴 Wonky is coming tomorrow for a few days to give me some respite and the chance to recharge my batteries.
In the meantime he is doing so well, standing up without the need to pull himself up and standing for quite some time without support.
Thank you all for your support. The fund is still climbing, which is amazing and he is genuinely astounded, very grateful and deeply moved that so many folk have done this for him ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Forgot to mention that my son has just bought himself an acoustic guitar for his 50th!
