  Hope the birthday tomorrow goes well for Rob [plenty of cake?] and all the ongoing ops and care over the coming months . 
  A terrible time for you all @Dovefromabove, and I wasn't aware of the loss of your brother, so apologies.  Next year can surely only be better than 2023.

  I’ve already posted this on Hello Forkers, but I know not everyone looks in there (although you’re all very welcome …there’s no membership fee 😉), so I’m repeating myself here …. 

  
  

  Today is the anniversary of the explosion in which my son was so badly injured and our lives were changed … I don’t know if he’s aware of the anniversary … he was in a coma on life support for 5 weeks and I’m not sure if the date has impacted on him … he’s already set off this morning to drive 30 miles to work as they have a band in the rehearsal suite today. He has an appointment with the neurologist at Broomfield Burns unit tomorrow.  This morning he simply called out ‘Bye Mum … back 9 ish. Sandwiches will be fine for supper.’ He just gets on with life … he’s remarkable and I’m so proud of him. 

  
  

  I would also like to thank all my GW friends for your generosity, kindness and support to us over the past twelve months, with special thanks to dear @punkdoc who held my hand ‘virtually’ on all those many difficult visits when OH and I sat by my son’s bed in ITU, surrounded by so much ‘stuff’ that we didn’t understand.  

   

  Heaven knows how we’d have got through the past year without you lot. You’re all very special people ❤️

  Good to know that Rob is back to "living the life" despite still having a way to go.  All my best wishes to him, you and family.  Tell WW that I still strum the guitar every so often as encouragement
