Oh gawd LB, BG useless. Four times what you're paying?? Crikey. Our fixed deal with them ends with them in December and we are dreading even thinking about what our monthly payments will be. That is atrocious. Good on you for changing companies. Hopefully now,you will get better service and a reasonable monthly payment. Good to hear  Jack  is back home, yes, he will feel much better getting back into his own bed.
Funny you should ask LB. We had recorded Grace and have just watched the first episode of the new series. And funnily enough, my OH ( and I agreed) was saying just the same thing as you about it. No spoilers.
SGL, hope OH is feeling a little less tired after the ( lovely) visit from family. I find just entertaining 23 to be exhausting sometimes😬🙂 but it's always nice to see family.
Signing out for now. Night all.

A very good morning one and all. It is so nice to wake up to light - making the rain drops on the plants outside my window twinkle. Grimacing Face on Noto Color Emoji Animated I can no longer, at the moment,  use the garden as an excuse to avoid the dreaded HW (wash my mouth out!) and, of course there is the building consultation to attend later with my neighbour. I am expecting some alpaca fleece today that I will be hanging out for my feathered friends to line their nests.

Good morning Ruby. I was halfway through typing my post when I had a phone call from handy brother so you got in ahead of me. I am sorry to hear that you had an unsettled night. Was your OH OK? I am hoping to get into the garden - I will just have to see how things turn out but the forecast is not brilliant. Apparently the winds are going to build up too.

Morning all. Rubee, OH and I didn't sleep well either....I put  it down to watching Grace and then the News late on 😕

Think we may start to go walking a little to get ourselves going and to strengthen the muscles as, since having this PR, I've become almost static on an afternoon. OH's osteoarthritis has been playing up too.

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning @Rubee @Ladybird4 and all to follow. A very chilly grey damp day again.
Sorry you had such an awful sleepless night Ruby, hope you're able to get some rest today.
Ladybird, hope you can get outside and play in the garden today.
I've got some paperwork to sort and phone calls to make today and then later OH & I will watch Grace.
    Take care everyone.

    Morning all.

I had a good night, but don't be jealous Saturday night wasn't good!

Yesterday I did very little. Not sure I'll be doing much today either apart from wielding a hot flat thing.

OH is steadily improving. Managed his shower on his own this morning.

    Morning all,

Just a quick check in - I'm (sort of) working this week. How much I'll actually do and how many days I get paid for is anyone's guess at the moment! :o

I might try and sneak out between the showers to crack on with more shed repairs. If I fit a new latch to hold the door completely shut, I reckon my efforts will have stopped at least one of the access points for rain. Along with sealing up the catrun between the back fence and shed, I'm quite satisfied with my utilisation of an old, surplus fence panel and all the wood offcuts that have accumulated in the shed. A hoarder of any old **** or a handy, recycling genius? That very much depends on whether you ask Mr or Mrs Biglad :D:D:D

    Evening all.
Busy, it is good to read that your OH has managed the next step in his recovery. Small steps. Being pain free will be such a blessing.
Wotcher @Biglad I though that your head would have been exploding with figures by now. I take it that the laptop has arrived from across the pond? I'll go with the handy recycling genius!
Well the consultation was very interesting. There were several young men - reminiscent of car salesmen going out of their way to answer pertinent questions. My neighbour and I read all of the posters and viewed all the maps and listened to the practised patter. They were definitely just testing general opinion before an application is made. If the application is successful the work will begin in Spring 2024. All the information we looked at will be put online tomorrow. I will muse on all the info before making my comments.
