    Morning all.
Well, the sun has disappeared and we're back to a cloudy, coolish day, but I'm not complaining. Joints playing up a bit this morning so going to have an easy day.
SGL, it is lovely,to see family members but when under par, can be overwhelming, I understand  that. But it always lovely see the little ones, they lift the spirits and bring so much happiness. We've bought 23 a plant to grow (in a very posh looking tin ) which is supposed to grow a plant with his name on it!🤷‍♀️I will get 23 to set it off  so that should be interesting....grow your own name! I'll post a pic if it succeeds.
We've just had a phone call ( before 9am) which is always disturbing. I thought something had happened to mum but it was OH's  friend having to cancel their TT session this morning( double booked). Sigh of relief. Not that OH wasn't looking forward to the work out.
Busy, how absolutely lovely of you and other neighbours to get your NDN's house cleaned and ready for her return back home. Such a generous and caring thing to do.

    Morning all.

LB, my NDN has a grandson too, but they both live a couple of hours away and have young families. I gave the hospital the GD's phone number and the GS rang the hospital. NDN was being admitted but still waiting for a bed last night.

Grey and wet outside. I have 11 small plants still waiting to be planted.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Good afternoon,
The rain we had this morning has cleared, and it was beginning to brighten up, although it’s coming over cloudy again now. However, everywhere looks very lush, and more spring flowers are putting in an appearance, so it all looks very cheerful. First day of spring, too 😁.
I hope your NDN will be alright, @Busy-Lizzie. She’s very lucky to have you and your other neighbour to keep an eye on things. I imagine her grandchildren are grateful, too seeing that they live so far away.

Good afternoon all. After I got back from a quick dash to 'sco this morning my neighbour had come round top see me. She has asked if I want to go with them to the consultation about the proposed building application tomorrow. So that is the plan so far. I also heard - after ringing Jack's daughter, that he is coming out of hospital. I will pop over to see him once she lets me know he's back. That is good news. He will be so excited about coming home.

That is brilliant news about Jack, LB. Hope he's ok. The building application meeting should prove interesting, fingers crossed you will all have the grit and determination to make some challenges.
We popped to the famous DIY store and picked up three mini seeds trays with tall lids and a couple of new, small cloche domes. OH has had his hair cut, I've had to change my appointment from this week until next week so it will be much needed by then.

Sorry @Ladybird4 your post wasn't there when I answered Ruby earlier. OH would normally cope with the little ones, but being poorly, having all the family together tires him now. But he loves to see them 🥰 Sorry, I didn't know that Jack has been in hospital, glad to hear he is well enough to come home. Hope he's ok now.
@Songbird-2 Thank you, we're not too bad, taking each day as it comes.
@Rubee sorry to hear your OH has such bad night's sleep. How are his legs does he still have the injections.
    Sending best wishes.

I am awarding myself scream of this week. I received an email from BG - that USELESS company I have been trying for over a year to contact - phone; snail mail; email (not got any pigeons and I don't know semaphore!) They are talking of putting up my monthly payment from next month by 4 times what I am paying at the moment. Their website doesn't work, contacting them is impossible and I am frazzled! Sorry, rant over.
I've switched to another company - Octopus on Noto Color Emoji Animated - other energy suppliers are available.
I nipped across the road to see Jack (SGL, he had had a minor stroke) and apart from rather bad bruising on his arms he looks really well. It was so nice to see him back in his own familiar surroundings. I expect he will enjoy sleeping in his own bed tonight. I had a calming cup of tea, because I had just about exploded with the BG situation, and a natter with Jack and his daughter soon grounded me.
Hazel, did you watch Grace last night? I think I remember you liking that series? It was a very uncomfortable watch. No spoilers.

@Ladybird4 so sorry to hear Jack had a stroke, do hope he's ok. Must have been so frightening for him. Glad he's well enough to come home, he will definitely be happy to be back in his own bed and familiar surroundings.
We've recorded Grace, enjoyed the previous series.
Night night everyone, feeling very tired tonight.
