  • I hope I'm not interrupting anyone's conversation, but I must say how much I enjoy all the Peanuts cartoons, @Ladybird4
I've been a fan of Peanuts since I was old enough to understand the cartoons. My wife told me that one of the reasons she said "yes" to my proposal, was because I was soft enough to appreciate Snoopy.

So, THANK YOU for your regular postings.

    Morning all,
the snow has all but gone here, too, after quite a covering yesterday. At the moment it’s bright and sunny, though we are forecast snow showers then rain from tea time ish.
Popping out for coffee and a bit of shopping later (not SM) then a pottering afternoon, I think plus a bit more reading. I’m enjoying a murder mystery “Another Little Christmas Murder”, and the setting is rather apt at the movement as the characters are snowed in at an old house. 😁.
Hope you all have a good Saturday.

    Hello all.

There are still small patches of snow but it's sunny. Rain is forecast in a day or two and warmer. I've weed killed the path and drive and fed the roses. Rose Malvern Hills is dead, it was so huge and beautiful, it's a mystery. Rang the handy man who will come and remove it and dig a big hole so I can put new earth in it and plant a new rose.

OH slept badly, not feeling that good.

Good afternoon everyone and a special hello to @rowlandscastle444
You are most welcome and you certainly won't be interrupting anyone's conversations as we all just dip in and out as and when. You won't be surprised to know that I, too, am and have been a Peanuts/Snoopy fan for as long back as I can recall. I am so glad that you like the cartoons. Enjoy!
@Red maple, I went shopping first thing this morning and it was super. Very quiet and no hassle. I decided to put Lily's TV on and I got things pegged out once the cycle finished. I do have to say that my hands were quite numb with the cold afterwards and was a good excuse to hug a mug - not that I really needed an excuse! I do have to add that the lovely sunshine has disappeared rapidly - I accept all blame! I do like the sound of your book.
How are you today @Songbird-2? Did you manage to get sorted out with a new prescription - sorry if I have missed reading that if you did.
Busy, I am sorry to read that your OH is not feeling too well today. That is a real shame about your rose too. Most strange how it just died.

Thank you @Ladybird4. It’s one of those old classics that Waterstones tend to put out around Christmas time. First published in 1947, the author is Lorna Nichols Morgan. It’s quite an easy read, not at all hard to follow, but very well written.

I went into the garage to get my Jerusalem artichokes into some big pots as I cannot get into the garden as yet. Luckily my gardening gloves kept my hands warm. I startled a little mouse in there - boy could it run! It would give Usain Bolt a good race! I transferred the pots into the GH and decided I had better bring in my nearly dry cloth things and it started to snow again.
Thank you @Red maple, I will have a look out for that one.

Red Maple, I, too, like books like that. I read quite a few books about murder at Xmas over the festivities and I have one in reserve which I got for Christmas.
LB, Have not been able to even talk to anyone about what I can do now. I do have an appointment with the Clinical Pharmacist at the GP surgery, on Monday, so will see what happens then. Meanwhile, I've had to cancel our visit to mums because I can't manage the journey etc.
Weve had an unexpected visit from son and 23 this afternoon, it was brilliant to see them. 23 and I ended up in the study bedroom building a submarine😊 Great fun and he's growing into a smashing little lad.
Busy, I'm so sorry to hear your OH isn't doing too well. If he can catch up with some sleep it might lift his spirits a little.  I hope he has a better night tonight.

Thank you LB and Hazel. I'm sorry you've been feeling so achey, Hazel, but at least you could enjoy 23's visit.

We watched a film this afternoon Fairy Story about 2 girls who photographed fairies. I read about them when I was young and I so hoped that the photos were genuine and that there were real fairies.
