@Red maple it’s all bagged up apparently and luckily I have a big strong man to load it into the van and unload it at home then I will just use a bit at a time. I am thinking of making manure tea for my tomato 🍅 plants.

That's good @debs64. Always a help to have someone strong to deal with the heavy work  :). Think your tomatoes will benefit from the tea, too.

    Morning all.

I slept well, OH less so. He is finding sleeping on his back difficult. I am glad that his thigh seems more normal, it was quite hard and swollen. I'm sorry your OH is still in pain @Rubee.

I found 2 books by the front door yesterday, no note, then the lady down the road who we met recently who has a house in France, called round. She said her husband had finished with them so she thought OH might like them. Kind of her.

Good afternoon all. I made a rash decision this morning and thought it would be a good idea to get Lily's TV on. Just as I was about to hang out the wet cloth things didn't the rain just decide it was time to fall out of the sky. Thwarted!
Debs, like Red maple, my mind was boggling at the thought of you transporting bags full of horse manure back to yours but I see that you had a helper. Did he know what you had planned for him? I do have to say, and no doubt some people will think me odd, but I don't mind the smell of horse manure. I smelt worse things while teaching!
Busy, that was such a sweet gesture from your neighbour. I am sure that your OH will gradually find that he can, once more, adopt his usual sleeping position. How is he finding the exercises? Are you both going to France at the end of April?

Hazel, it was good to read that you felt well enough to go on a tip run but just take things easy.

Thanks LB and all for the kind words. I am taking it very easy, don't want to set things off again particularly as I am coming to the end of a second week of steroids. I had a tussle last week getting a repeat prescription, think the description of the diagnosis threw the lady a bit. A little old fashioned for nowadays and not much heard of or dealt with. However, it is very really and flaming painful.
We   put  a load of manure ( bagged) manure on our garden when we first moved, and the smell was around for quite some weeks. We did get used to it and didn't really mind it but initially it used to hit us when we first went outside. Phew......
It's been raining here ,that fine drizzle stuff that soaks you through.

Busy, that was a kind gesture of your neighbour. Your OH will be uncomfortable for a while, quite a big operation he's had and time will be the healer. Probably in hospital things would be a lot different to being at home, so the transition period will be strange when compared to hospital comings and goings. I'm sure he will get there.Give it time.
  • Hazel glad to hear you’re on the mend.   I’m sorry you’re in pain.   Picked up my scrip today and had a walk with Dad.  The main road was rather busy.  We found some dettol soap as not often seen in the sm.  made tea. Rubees birthday tomorrow.  Ante hope the online classes went well.  Gave Alfie his daily brushing with lots of purring.  Brushed the carpet for cat fur and enjoyed a cup of tea.

Evening Rosie. It sounds as if you have had a pleasant, pottering sort of day like mine. The last thing I did before dusk fell was to fill my bird feeders and I noticed a distinct drop in temperature. I had turned my thermostat down but I think it will be switched up again tonight.
