    Afternoon all.

LB, I hope that winter wheat was correct. 😁

Hazel, I can see a glow in your eyes when you speak about painting clothes, brushes and upcoming work with paint. 😊

Today was beautiful day. Much warmer and sunny. I spent few hours in the garden, mostly cleaning. My tomatoes seeds are in the trays, but I'm disappointed with number of seeds in a package. In two packages only 40 seeds, so if all of them sprout, I'll still have 60 plants less by my original plan. It means that I must visit GC very soon and get some more.

Good afternoon all. Well I had a wonderful time at this new GC. I was in heaven. It is a no frills nursery which is by far my preference. Plants, plants, plants; hundreds of real terracotta pots in all sizes; bird tables, nest boxes and all types of feeders and bird food, to name just a few of the things on sale. No garden furniture, BBQ sets, paving or stones; no café, all in all a plantsperson's dream, and all at cheap as chips prices. I can see me becoming a regular there. We then retreated to the pub for lunch. The food was delicious but the service was dreadful. I was happy though as 3 little cacti leapt at me in the GC.
Red maple - like Hazel, I dread to think how much I spend on plants - both for the garden and for the house. Probably best NOT to know.
Ante, that must have been a real disappointment for you. I hope that you can get more seeds very soon.

Sounds wonderful LB. My favourite nursery in France is like that. It's very seasonal though. If I get back in April I shouldn't be too late for their perennials. They will just be laying them out in the sales area.

I planted my violas and daisies and pruned climbing Iceberg and Grosvenor House roses. Ran out of violas so had a quick trip to Bressingham GC and bought 18 more for the long border. I love violas  :)
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

LB, new GC sounds amazing. Definitely the place I would spent my time. Tomatoes seeds were a bit disappointment. Usually there are seeds for two or three years, but now very small amount.

Bussy, your stone house in France must be lovely. I love old buildings, especially when they are made of stone.

Today was very nice day, and I'm feeling almost recovered. There were a plenty of small jobs left behind, and I manage to finish them all. It's a good feeling after a week in bed.
I took some more photos, and it should explain much better work on my veranda.

Those are tiles for floor and wall, and entrance in the house. Please neglect dirty windows, they will be clean when all work is done.😁

Busy, I think you would have loved it. They had huge platforms with hundreds and hundreds (not an exaggeration) of primulas, violas and bellis. I thought about you as I viewed them all. They had beautiful hellebores in all colours - singles and doubles - for £3.99. (€4.5) I could have spent a fortune but I will be rejigging my garden once the old shed goes and I will know where to go to for bargain plants.
I love stone buildings too. During the summer when it is really warm the old stone can trap the heat from the sun like a storage heater and then the stone feels warm to the touch in the evening. This can be very kind to the plants growing nearby.

I would have done, LB. Wow, amazing price for Hellebores. They start at £12.99 in the GCs here.

That looks really nice Ante. It'll be smashing when it's all done. Hadn't realised you had been in bed all week, poor you. But you've done really well to keep on with the school work whilst feeling poorly.

LB, that's my type of garden centre too.No frills,,no furniture, no gifts sections etc etc, just mounds of plants. We visit something similar but it's quite a way from where we live so only visit now and again. All home grown plants and really reasonable prices. Quite a decent size too. Now you've found it you'll never be away from it.

Busy,  viola's are my mums favourite flowers.

Oh Ante, that will look so nice when all the work is done and finished the way you want it. Look at that sun shining down as well. I think that is a good omen!
Hazel, I will have to be very careful as I might just move in there!
