Rubee, I'm so sorry to read that you haven't been feeling well for a few days. Rose thorns can be really nasty and it's good that your tetanus is up to date. I hope the abscess heals okay for you and the medical treatment keeps everything at bay. Take care and look after yourself.

I wrote this a while ago but forgot to post it.

    Morning all.

    Thank you about our friend.

Should be a quiet day here. May need to switch on Lily's TV. I might prune the climbing Iceberg rose.

Sorry you aren't feeling well, Rubee. Sounds painful.

    Good afternoon,

Your tour around the dam sites must have been very interesting @Topbird.

Hello @Pauline. I hope you are feeling a little better today. As already said, it’s shocking that you had to walk out of the hospital.

Oh dear @Ante1, I bet you felt annoyed with yourself turning up a day early for your cars MOT test. Hope all goes well with it today 🤞.

@Topbird we have been to Fairborn Ings as it’s not too far away from us either, but we were at a different one on Tuesday. Where we are is quite central to several nature reserves, so we’re quite lucky.

    Afternoon all.

LB, I'm so glad that your eyes are recovered.

Pauline, sorry to hear that you are poorly. Hope you will be well.

Hazel, I can't believe it that GW is next week. It never started in February, I think.

Rubee, hope you will soon be well.

I can now sit and relief. My car passed MOT without any problem. They told me it is tip top, but it's not new one, and I'll start to think about new one. It is not a priority right now. Well, it's time to nibble something with tea.

Good afternoon all. What a difference a day makes. After a super day yesterday it was horrid today - drizzly and dull. I was really glad that I got Lily's TV done yesterday.
Ruby, so sorry to read that you have been under the weather these last few days. It is a bit scary when you realise what damage a rose thorn can do. Hope the antibiotics work well and you are soon fighting fit again.
Ante, as far as I recall GW has always begun again after the winter break in February but don't quote me. I'm hoping that we see some fresh approaches this season round as I felt Monty was running out of things to say last time.
I popped over the road to visit Jack. He had been at the eye clinic yesterday so we were able to swap stories.  He had a brew made for me when I got over there. He is doing so well for his 92 years.

LB, it's nice to hear that Jack is doing well.

I mentioned before that I again have workers in my house. Maybe you remember that I renovated my house a year and a half ago. My cousin was doing that, and he didn't have time to finish veranda and laundry room. It was planed for this autumn, but two months ago he decided to close his business and move to brother in Amsterdam. Now he is doing the same work, but up there. I put my name on waiting list of few craftsman, because waiting time is quite long. Few days ago, one of them called me and said that he can come to work this and next week. I accepted immediately, and it's not large surface, so he will be finished till next weekend.

    Today

Now we must wait surface to dry properly, and he will come next Tuesday to continue.
I'm sorry for a longer post, but you see now that I have one more thing on my mind this week.

Ante, that's looking good so far.Such a shame you've had to wait along time to get it finished but it can't be helped. It's getting there now. Have you had the floor concreted over there? Is it your hallway? I really like the look of it and think it will be very smart when  it's all done. No wonder you've been busy and had lots on your mind, besides being under the weather.Let's hope things are heading in the right direction. Do take care though.

Hi Hazel. This is my entrance/veranda. From the front side it's all in glass, and I keep plants there during winter. Door on the right is entrance to hallway, door on the left is laundry, and door on the end is exit to back alley. There was concrete floor, but they needed to smooth it before tile laying. I'll be able to walk on it tomorrow morning, and it will be completely dray at Monday. This cold weather doesn't help at all.

I see Ante, that explains the layout lovely. Bet you'll be glad to get it all tiled and looking and smelling nice and fresh. You have a lovely home Ante  from the pics you've already posted and these. Well done. Our hallway should look like your entrance later on this year with a nice new fresh coat of white paint so will have to dig out my old white coat and old painted splattered blouse and trousers 😊

Rubee, how are you feeling today?
