We're finally having lots of lovely rain which means I don't feel guilty about staying indoors sewing, not that I can do much gardening at the mo till the new knee settles in properly.
The other RTBC is I've found us a GP. My original one retired. His replacement was fired for misconduct 18 months ago. OH's GP retired in May. No replacements for either one. Now a new lady has joined a practice about 15kms away and is willing to take on his ex patients - good to know should we have the need.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

After a whole month since I went down with Covid, and hardly able to walk, did the first beach walk today. It was very mild, clear blue sky, didn't even need a jacket, will give you a picture.it was so bright, I didn't realise I was photographing the benches. But you get the idea. This is looking out towards Beachy Head on the right.
My hearing aids are working properly and I can hear all kinds of stuff. I can even listen to the radio without earphones and the television without subtitles. Downsides: my husband still shouts and I heard weird noises. I couldn't work out where they were coming from and even looked out the window only to discover that it was my stomach gurgling😳 we have creaky floorboards and the ticking clock annoys me just as much as it used to in the olden days. The reason for this amazing development is that I saw a technician who actually listened to me and could be bothered to sort it out by going right back to square one and doing everything necessary when you first get hearing aids. I might even socialise a bit now.
Lots of people with normal ear function don't listen either @pansyface. It's particularly irritating when I make an announcement at patch club and then get asked "when?" or "what?". It's no better if I send the info by email - they don'tread them.

With natural hearing, you can, to some extent, filter out things that you don't want to hear or decide who you wish to listen to in a crowd. Don't take it too personally, though😉
