Time is passing very quickly. I have feeling that Christmas was a month ago. Hope you don't have too much of those cereals. I once bought cereals with chocolate chips and strawberry. Taste was fine, but chocolate was like pebbles, completely uneatable.
The more I think about these cereals Ante, the more I want to replace them (I just opened the new packet yesterday). It has dried strawberries and another red fruit I cannot remember in it and these literally have NO taste whatsoever. I think it would make quite good hard core for road building!

Congratulations to your fiancé @debs64. Is it near enough for him to commute or will you have to move?
We got home yesterday afternoon. Stopped at Sainsbugs for bread and milk. Cottage was cold. OH found some logs for the wood burner in the sitting room but kitchen and breakfast room took ages to heat up. No heating in the kitchen, used little electric heater. Same in France. Why don't people put a radiator in the kitchen? You need one on low when you go away because of the risk of frozen pipes.
Had a chat with both NDNs last night. Elderly lady who fell is a bit better. Other one had collected our post, lots of Christmas cards.
We will go to the SM later but still having coffee in bed. Sounds windy outside.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning Busy. I do have a radiator in my kitchen. Perhaps if people do a lot of baking they may feel a radiator is not essential. I couldn't do without mine. All of my family and friends have them also. Pleased to read your NDN who fell is recovering.

Morning all, well after a wet start to the day it now appears to be brightening up.
Im going to show off now, we have 2 radiators in our kitchen 😂😂. Glad we have, because it can get quite cold in there as one wall adjoins the attached garage, and I think the chill seeps in from that wall, even though it has cupboards and a sink along it.
Packed away the crib this morning, so that’s everything away until next December. I have got candles and some fairy lights in the dining room, though, to cheer the place a bit.
Pleased to hear that your NDN is feeling a little better @Busy-Lizzie. A fall is never a good thing for anyone, but especially as we age.
Good afternoon everyone .LB I don’t make any NewYear Resolutions either .Ante I hope you have a restful day .Weather is wet and windy . I think I will do some crafting and then read .Have good day everyone .
Good afternoon all. I went to visit my friend who has the heritage apple and pear collection this morning. Drove through some very flooded country lanes to get there. He was busy digging up the huge stump of an old pear tree that had died when I arrived. Good job I had taken my walking boots to change into as the orchards were very squelchy indeed. The weather turned out quite nice - a bit of sunshine and blue sky but it did change back to dank and dismal when I got home.

@Busy-Lizzie he can commute fairly easily and can always stay over if he has a particularly late night.
It’s a gorgeous place I am longing to go over to explore the gardens and look at the vegetable garden in particular. @Ladybird4 maybe donate that cereal to the birds? Treat yourself to something nicer. How lovely to explore an orchard. I do envy you.
Busy you must be starting to feel nice and cosy in your home now. I bet you are making plans for the soggy garden already. I noticed that many of my daffodils are now poking their leaves above the soil. I wonder what sort of a display I will get after the weird weather patterns we have had throughout last year.
Debs, you and your fiancé have exciting times ahead and hopefully the control of the diabetes will be assisted with him having less stress. As for the bird food, I think that is definitely the path I will be going down. I am going shopping tomorrow to get some bits and bobs and 'proper cereals' is on top of the list.

We went to the SM. Lemon sole for dinner. Food for the week. Forgot the fabric softener, but not important.
Wet and windy, not a nice day. The flowerbeds are a soggy mess but daffodils are coming up. Mole is trying to destroy the lawn.
