Good morning everyone .Debs fingers crossed for fiancé today . LB I hope your weather is a bit better today .Ante enjoy your tea.I have been waiting all week to do some gardening .Our weather is cold wet and windy .
morning all. Thrashing rain against the windows and high winds woke us up during the night. It's still blowing now but we're getting used to windy conditions now we get them that much. I have a hair appointment this afternoon then need to sort out bedroom for 23. We are going to try introducing him to the game Battleships during this visit but he may be a little young to pick it up yet. Ive woken up with some strange aches this morning, almost as if I spent a day doing exercises. Hope it's not the start of something. Spoke to brother last night. Things are getting worse with mum now so fresh plans are afoot. Debs, fingers crossed your finance can secure the correct financial package so that he can start anew this year.
I've been rearranging the seasonal stuff in the wardrobe top so that I can get more things into the space. I think I can (almost) safely say now that I haven't missed anything.
SGL, if you look in, I have got more decs to go to the Sue Ryder shop but I don't think i will wait until October like we did last year - I just want to get rid of the clutter asap!
Safe onward journey Busy and your OH and get that heating cranked up when you get home.
Hazel, it always seems to rain when I am getting my hair done - I've become resigned to it. Enjoy sorting out the bedroom for 23. So sad to read that things are getting worse with your Mum. I know how mentally wearing it can be for you. Hope that your aches and pains are just overdoing it with the hot metal thing and clearing away your seasonal items - though I know you have been able to fit in a bit of gardening too. I know that I was shattered yesterday!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good afternoon tidied the last of the decs away today apart from the crib, which will go away tomorrow. The rooms look quite bare now. Most were put away yesterday, but I left a couple of lights just to brighten the dining room last night. The weather is fine, with occasional sunshine, and not as cold.
LB hope you and Lily are okay and keeping warm. Hazel hoping your tummy soon feels better and enjoy 23s visit. Debs I hope fiancé has the best outcome for him. I’m laying on the bed with many layers on and plenty of drinks. There’s an appeal from Flora and Forna International for the pangolin and I’m going to support them such innocent creatures.
Good afternoon all. Recently returned from the first Quizzers meal of the year. It was so nice catching up with everyone again. Just started to rain as I was dropped off at home! I reckon it follows me.
@Red maple it is always a little sad when the decorations go away and everything does look so bare until we get used to it.
Rosie, I too think it is appalling what those poor creatures get subjected to.

LB, nice that you have great time with Quiz friends.
Red Maple, I felt the same yesterday when all I stored all decorations. But there is always few scented candles around the house.
I had relaxing day spent with book and tv. Outside is warm, but everything is soaked, so it was impossible to work in the garden. We are in the middle of the winter, but couple of blackbirds are building nest in my conifer, and I have one persistent mosquito which is molesting me last few hours. It's time to think about dinner.

We are staying with friends, off to Norfolk today. Our cottage will be cold but it has good central heating.
