Hugs to Hostafan, so good to hear your ‘voice’. We do miss you. Hoping the road ahead gets easier with every day that passes.
  • Good morning everyone,  special hello to @Hostafan1. We have green grass again, but it's wet and blustery. I had a call from the opticians yesterday, saying don't come today as machine is kaput, they will let me know when it's fixed. I have a few weeks in hand but I'm already getting reminders from DVLA to get it done. Trying to get more organised for the big day but it seems to get harder every year.
Someone mentioned leaf clearing the other day, well though a lot more have come off now the old Bramley is stubbornly clinging on to a lot of them still.

It feels a lot less cold now we have the rain.  But I have to walk into town so not looking forward to that.
Nice to see you Hosta - hope it's not too long before you feel yourself able to join in again.
    Happy birthday to Mr. Dovefromabove.

So much milder today, 13 degrees C . Yesterday was freezing, with horrible sleety rain in the afternoon, but it didn’t stop us going to the 9 carols and lessons service at church. (We had 2 services to go to yesterday). Starting to feel properly festive now.
    Hugs to you @Hostafan1.

Afternoon all, another dreary day with very heavy rain. Fortunately I managed to walk to the paper shop and back just before it got really heavy. A friend called in for a quick coffee whilst waiting to collect a patient from the nearby hospital. Our friend is a saint, has volunteered 3 days this week to be the local Link driver to and from hospitals, covering Swindon, Bath and Bristol.

I've done two lots of washing but must keep up with the ironing. Stlll haven't put any decorations or cards up, looks like it will be last minute panic as usual. I don't do it until I feel in the mood.

Was cheered by the sight of snowdrops poking through the ground when I made a quick dash to the compost bins.

Sounds like my day too Lizzie, very heavy rain and even stronger winds. Trees down everywhere stopping local traffic and relying on local villagers with chainsaws to get us all moving again. Wishing a very Happy Birthday to Dove's OH and Pat's son, hope the day has been special for both of them.

I've had a gardening day, lots of weeding, bit of pruning and mulching, about 5 hours work. Feeling rather stiff and achey.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
We woke early here … OH has gone back to sleep but I’m wide awake so I’ve made myself a coffee and am going to have a noodle on here and see what everyone’s been up to …
