Some sunshine today and a brighter sky so a chilly coastal walk past some grasses on the dunes and weathered sandstone, plus the Dee estuary skyline (and more grasses!)
I took the camera with me yesterday when I was out. The ongoing frost makes the trees look beautiful
Managed to get the pines before any sun got to the tops
These always remind me of James Taylor's album #Sweet Baby James. When it came out, there were no lyrics on the sleeve, so - for many years, I thought he was singing 'though the birches seemed dreamlike on account of the frosting'. He was actually singing The Berkshires...
This is my favourite. From a distance, it looks like someone has hung icicles from the branches A wee close up of those
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
These snaps are from my "walk" yesterday .... which was to the end of the drive to put the bins out We woke to -12.5 C yesterday .... a balmy -10C today. So too cold and slippy to walk anywhere. Don't think we'll be using the steamer chairs anytime soon

Gardener and beekeeper in beautiful Scottish Borders

Lovely pix you two You'll be a wee bit colder than us here @Bee witched - more rural, so a couple of degrees lower in general. if you drove about half an hour south east from me, the temps are often like yours. You can 't consider yourself a proper Scot though, if you're not out getting a barbecue going there.... My heating kept jinking on overnight because it was below 10 degrees in the house, and that's what the 'low' is on the thermostat.
No snow here - last week's just froze, so ice has been the problem. Snow forecast for tonight/tomorrow though. The wet conditions previously have meant those frosts have been more impressive as the moisture gets drawn out. Lovely
