Do you mean the one between Glen Lyon and Glen Lochy, or the one due west from S. an Lochain @Balgay.Hill

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I've just checked and it is Sron a Choire Chnapanaich (837m) due West. It is a very smooth grassy summit, and i slept on the summit in a bivvy bag.

I know where you mean - had a look too  :)
I should have thought of carrying on a bit further. It was quite hazy for views across to all the other hills, but better in the flesh than with the camera. The lack of water everywhere is very worrying though, and has been really evident around all the lochs.  :/

I keep meaning to do the one I mentioned, but it's a long way to go for such a short walk, so I'll have to look at combining it with something else.

It's a good circuit for an overnighter. I took my kids there years later, and we dropped down to the head of the loch and camped over night. It's an easy walk back to the car the next day.

You can do a circular route from the loch,  of that one plus the Corbett further west - Meall Bhuide. That might be a good outing too.  :)

Looking at it, it would have been ideal while it's been so dry!

I'm glad i got my kids into the hills when young. My daughter did her first and second Monros at 4 years old. Driesh then Mayar carrying her own pink backpack. I had to carry her down from Mayar though!  :)
It must have worked its magic though, as she is in Yosemite right now!

    Fantastic @Balgay.Hill:)
I could have done with a piggy back last time I came down off Driesh   :D

You must have done them the other way round though. The Corrie Fee is pretty fabulous though isn't it? A beautiful sight when you come out the woodland into it if you're doing Mayar first.  :)

The Angus Glens are my stomping ground, being from Dundee. I think i must have been on their many summits hundreds of time.
My claim to fame is once finishing 10th in the Angus Monros Hill Race many decades ago! :D

I'll need proof of that @Balgay.Hill, so I'm expecting to see you out in your lycra sometime soon.... :D
Have you seen the memorial to the young lad [Luke Ireland] that died some years back while on a run in Glen Clova? It's on the top of the ridge round Loch Brandy, via The Snub,  en route to The Goet /Ben Tirran. I saw wreaths at the huge rock at the foot of the loch, but I didn't go round that way to do the hill, so I looked it up when I got home, as there was a clear reference to his regiment. I went back a year or two later to pay my respects.

Fantastic shots @Fairygirl, really jealous of those lovely walks.

How tough are they? We are heading up to Scotland for a few days in September, I'm fairly comfortable hiking but my wife would struggle with anything overly strenuous.
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.
