I originally had a link to the whole walk @Simone_in_Wiltshire, but it was through Photobox, and I haven't used it for ages so it no longer works. Here's a few pix though. Pudsey was created by using my younger daughter's bear that her big sister gave her when she was born
This was the final hill of the day. They're all below 2000 ft, so it's fairly straightforward once you're up the first one. Those ears aren't my own...
Lots of wildlife, but this is one of my favourites - a dipper I'd only got back out hillwalking earlier that year, due to various 'events' and my knee problems. My new ruckie looks very clean in those pix!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I think the biggest problem with Snowdon is that it's so busy. 'Honeypot' hills are all like that. You might have to pick your time carefully. It's like Nevis. Everyone makes a beeline for it, so that they can say they've done it, but the sad truth is - virtually every other hill you can see from it is a far better walk! The Mamores in particular.

@Fairygirl, lovely pictures, well done on the fundraising efforts 👍. You're so right about the ' honeypot' hills, the only chance for a relatively quiet ascent is an early start in the summer or a winter ascent ( only for the well equipped and trained). We've been up the Ben with only a handful of people on the way up and summit, coming down was a different matter, it was like Boxing Day at Bluewater 🤣. @Simone_in_Wiltshire, if you choose to do Snowdon it does have one thing going for it and that's the number of routes to the top, if you avoid the Tourist route from Llanberis and the Ranger Path the others are quieter, it will still require an early start to beat the hordes. I like the Rhydd Dhu path, it's one of the quieter routes and gives lovely views.
A couple of walks up the Malverns, last year. First pic looking out over Worcestershire and beyond. Second pic looking south towards Gloucestershire. Blessed to live here.
I've just seen Ronnie O'Sullivan at the garden center. I think he was eyeing up a plant.
@scroggin I don’t mind so much the crowds. Where I live, I have to walk on my own and this is quite scary. Also WFH is a lonely job which I don’t mind, but seeing other people on a walk is like holiday for me.
I also love the Joe Brown shop and a proper Pet’s Eat after a 5 hours up/down from the Snowdon 😔
@punkdoc, Crib Goch used to be quiet, I wouldn't say that now, everyone wants an adrenaline kick it seems. @Simone_in_Wiltshire, Pete's Eats is definitely a must after a trek up Snowdon 👍.
