Wow, I wasn’t aware there were Red Kites in Notts., I don’t think there were any when I lived there.
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

  • I would say they have only been in this area for 4/5 years maybe slightly more. On this walk I see at least 1 every time I go.
Last year I counted 6 and I thought that was good. I went down there on Saturday and ‘only’ saw 8 so I went down again on Sunday just to see if there were any more, 12 is the most I’ve ever seen at one time.
    Nottinghamshire.

I walk most days but only about 30 or 40 minutes. The Norfolk countryside is rather dull at this time of year. Tomorrow I will be doing a 5 mile walk with the village walking group so I hope I will have some better photos than this one. I also hope my gammy knee holds out, I haven't walked that far since the autumn.

I was in my beloved Greenwich Park a couple of weeks ago. Love the gnarled trees. The church is in Blackheath.

I went on the 5 mile walk with the village walking group, but thanks to my knee, I'm afraid I didn't finish it. I think it was the muddy field with tractor ruts that upset my knee. Also the group walked faster than the group I walked with in France. Did about 3 miles then went home as we came to the other end of my village. I didn't take photos, it looked very gloomy in winter. But the walk was 2 walks that I do added together so I already have photos of it in summer.

Lovely @scroggin - especially with the snowdrops  :)
I pass a sheep/cattle farm quite often, and there's a little fenced off area near the house which sometimes has sheep in it.  The other day I did a double take - it was some snowdrops just coming into flower   :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Lovely @scroggin, I do the same at this church. 🙂

Just wondering if anybody here does BBC weather watcher photos. I posted these on there after my walk on Sunday. You can post as much or as little weather info you have, I only put the temperature and what it was doing e.g cloudy or sunny. All they ask is there is ‘weather’ in you picture. They might use the photos on the weather programme with your user name and location. I’ve had 5 photos used on the telly, you can also see people photos from around your area. Your photos @scroggin would be great on there, just a thought 😁.
