Hi Punkdoc. We’ve had threatening clouds, and winds, no rain so far. Would you believe that they are predicting snow in the high country. It’s almost Summer 😳🥹
Brrr! @Pat E ⛄️ I meant to say earlier that driving through the countryside yesterday, the colours of the trees and hedgerows were amazing … real russetty-golds, especially the oaks and beeches … and amazing crops of holly berries. And I saw a Gt Spotted Woodpecker clinging up high on the trunk of a dead stag-headed oak. 😃

Cooling down here too. Brisk this morning. Pfft!!!
@Pat E Yes, the southern hemisphere is having the weird spring that we had here. You may be in for a long hot summer.
@chicky I hope your back is better today after some rest.
@Dovefromabove Oh for a nice big parcel of cod and chips. We had an English-run restaurant here doing excellent fish 'n chips but sadly it has closed down . The French aren't too good at getting the batter right.
The weather is certainly behaving oddly all over the place, certainly doesn't feel like November here @Pat E, although we did have a very wet day yesterday, but still very warm for the time of year. Glad to hear you are feeling a bit more yourself.
I have managed to get my 'apartment' looking cosy again at CdeG, I hadn't taken much from it really, just clothes I needed on a day to day basis, think I knew I would end up back here. I am now going to set about looking for a house much more seriously. I had been looking, wanted a small place in town anyway to be near CdeG, but I was being a bit fussy waiting for the perfect one to come along, I think now is the time for compromises. Not a lot about though and I am certainly not up to doing any major renovations, we'll see.
Really struggling to get in contact with the owner of the nice, what would be perfect restaurant for me. It is rented to the current traders, but the business is in a dire state, hardly ever see anyone in there. I went for a meal a few weeks ago with Charlie, to be nosy, just two men (and a dog) at the bar, we asked for the menu and she said, and I am not kidding or exaggerating, "let me think what I have in the fridge". At that point we decided to go elsewhere. I am just hoping she'd be happy to go and the owner would be happy to get rid of the responsibility. The problem is he is retired and lives in a small village a bit away and no-one so far has come up with the contact details. Plan B is to rent the other nice restaurant next door, but as I've said before, I hate the idea of renting. Dilemmas, dilemmas.
I do love a walk by the sea @Dovefromabove, not sure about your 'friend' glaring at me whilst eating lunch though.
Thanks folks, my back is a bit better today. Have been using one of those bags you heat in the microwave to keep it comfortable, and whilst I can’t bend over yet, at least I can now sit up. A gentle few days ahead methinks. Lots of sewing and crochet to be done 🧶 which will keep me out of mischief.
Weather is foul - stair rod rain and blustery winds.
Good luck with the house and restaurant search @D0rdogne_Damsel. Stressful but exciting at the same time.
Glad you’re getting your mojo back @Pat E - its great to see you posting again 👍🏻

Right, stuff to do, and again thanks for all the support and kind comments and of course hugs and best wishes back to everyone needing them.
A really good day to all.
