Morning all. Poor you Debs, nothing worse than being under par and being awake in the night, it's always ( feels )worse. I'm sure you will make the most of your break away though , just don't overdo things.
Were popping out in a bit but I'm late up this morning so will have to rush about.
    Have a nice day everyone.

    Afternoon all.

I just came in and it's time for rest a bit and cup of tea. Weather is again nice and warm, so I spent last two days mostly outside. I came late from cottage yesterday, and harvested over 5 kg of radishes. Some of my neighbors were not too happy when they saw me on doorstep with bag full of them.ย
I decided to remove water lily from my pond. Pond is small, and when I bought water lily I didn't pay attention how big he will grow. It was this afternoon task, and quite smelly one. It was huge PITA to remove all roots and rhizomes. I ordered new one, dwarf water lilyย Pygmaea Helvola.

Sorry I didn't read back, but will do this evening. Hope you are all well.ย

    Good afternoon all.
How are your knees feeling today after all that weeding yesterday Busy? Did you manage to find any botanical tulips?
Ante, I smiled at your comment about the neighbours and the radishes. I have got to go and dredge a huge amount of mud out of my pond some time during the winter after the plants have died back. I am dreading it because I think it will be even more stinky than yours! I'll have to check for frogs as well - they might be hibernating. I could do with some waders like those Monty has.

There weren't many tulip bulbs left in the local small GC. I bought Scarlet Baby.

We went to the big DIY place, bought lightbulbs, sandpaper for the electric sander, a magnifying mirror and a paint tray but they hadn't got the battery electric drill that OH wanted. We also went to a lovely food shop, called "Le Grand Frais" (the Big Fresh) and bought fish, vegetables and fruit, including a rainbow trout fillet, sea bream, mussels and some persimmon fruit. They had lovely freshly baked bread too so bought 2 loaves and 4 baguettes, most in the freezer now. I don't like the gum ripping hard bread full of holes inside that they sell here.

Evening all, had rain a lot today but no predicted wind thank goodness. OH painted the stakes he has put in aside the old archway and it dried really quickly. It's been mild here. I noticed that some daffodil bulbs are popping up through the soil already!ย
Popped to chemist this morning and dropped off some baby blankets to the charity shop. Then indoor jobs this afternoon.ย
Hope everyone has had a decent day. Signing out to watch Connect too LB. Night all.

Good morning all. I woke up at silly o'clock this morning so read for a while and dropped off again. I have a contact lens appointment in town later so I think I'll go on the bus and have a mooch around the few shops that are actually left. It is depressing going into town these days - I can almost see tumbleweed bumbling down the streets - well in my imagination anyway.
Busy those tulips are so pretty. I have a feeling that Ante grows lovely species tulips.
Hazel well done on the baby blankets. I enjoyed the quizzes last night.

Good morning all. Dry here in Wales but more rain expected later. Starting to feel a bit better now. I am trying to get up the energy for a short walk later I canโ€™t be inside all the time it makes me feel claustrophobic.ย
Slept a bit better last night.ย
@Ladybird4 any news on Kitty? I know what you mean our local โ€œmallโ€ is distinctly lacking in shops just a few old faithfuls. I sometimes think covid was the end for โ€œgoing shoppingโ€ though I notice garden centres etc are pretty busy.ย

Good morning Debs. Pleased to hear you are feeling a bit better and can get out to enjoy the scenery. Kitty will be going to the Vet's today. I'm not sure what time but I've told Jack I'll ring him when I get home from the optician's.

Good ย morning everyone .Debs itโ€™s good to read that you are a bit better .Wrap up and enjoy your short walk.LB enjoy your mooch in town .I dread to think what beautiful Briggate looks like in Leeds now. I have a feeling that a lot of the lovely old buildings will have apartments on the upper floors in the coming years .
