    Evening T'Bird. I thought about you and your OH today as I was driving back from'sco this morning, I followed a camper van that had some very cute decals on the back. One read:

    Camping
    ~~~~~~~~
    Drinking
    and the other funny one said:
    You may get there first
    ...but I've got beer in the fridge.
    It did make me smile on the way home.
    Isn't it strange how you can detect the differences between East and West Germany. I have fingers crossed your bikes will be quite safe where you have found a supervised parking area. I too am so sad T'Bird. I've 'Kitty sat' for so many years when Jack was able to go on holidays that I feel like she is one of mine.
    Here she is, bless her.
    Well I haven't had chance to exercise my brain this evening - got to wait until tomorrow now due to excellent wheelchair rugby. I am signing out for tonight. Enjoy your evenings all and I'll see you in the morning.
    Kitty looks to be such a sweetie LB. I hope it doesn't drag Jack down too much. He's going to need some love and support over the coming weeks isn't he? You too if you feel that close to Kitty.
    I feel a bit the same about one of my neighbour's cats. They always describe Oliver as being a bit aloof, not very cuddly, likes to do his own thing etc. I haven't told them that he comes to me a lot and that I get lots of cuddles and smooches. I think he's just a bit of a one to one cat. They have 4 other cats plus 3 rabbits. I think he just prefers getting some undivided attention!Β
    Sweet photo of Kitty.
    It was a lovely sunny day so I was outside this afternoon.Β I mowed the bramble area along the little river that borders my land with the tractor mower. Did it twice, long cut then medium cut. Can now walk through it to the river easily. However, the edges along the river need a strimmer. As it has rained quite a bit in the last few days the river now has flowing water again. I surprised 2 deer but they were on the other side. Maybe when they got into the garden they just walked across the dry river bed. It is fenced but part of the fence was broken. CB mended it. They haven't been in the garden since then.
    I also weeded another flower border, on knees on my kneeler with sides. That bed is much better weeded than the ones I did with a hoe. Knee has been less painful today.
    Hello all from rainy Wales. Lodge is cosy and scenery very pretty but I do feel poorly so hoping a lazy day or two will help. Pretty sure it’s just a bad cold and I am away from everyone so hoping not to spread it too much but at this time of year it’s difficult so many bugs around.Β
    So sorry to hear about Kitty I am sure she has had a good life so maybe that will be some comfort to Jack.Β
    Going to try to get back to sleep nowΒ
    Good morning and goodness me Debs. You were awake at the crack of dawn and I guess that is due to you feeling so unwell. Lazy days sound just what the doctor ordered, to me.
    Busy, the deer must also have been surprised to see activity in and around your house so hopefully with the newly repaired fence as well, your roses may have time to recover.
    Good morning Ruby. I am going to follow your example and get some cards written today. Handy brother has started on his. He aims to write just 5 a day so that he doesn't get bored stiff! Why do we put ourselves through all of this?
    Morning all.
    Have you had a fever @debs64? Colds don't usually cause a fever. Sorry to hear that you are feeling so unwell. Have you done a Covid test?
    Grey here.
    We are doing the weekly shop today and OH wants to go to the big DIY shop so we'll go to the big SM near PΓ©rigueux instead of our smaller local one. I can never find anything there though as it's unfamiliar. I want to buy some botanical tulip bulbs too.
    No fever @Busy-Lizzie just the usual cold symptoms I am not worried about it just a shame to be unwell when we are on holiday. Best to get it over before Christmas I suppose.Β
