We were in Beccles, a neighbouring market town, today to deliver leaflets. Should we walk to the quay to deliver leaflets to the cafe there or do it on the way home in the car? I asked my husband. Oh, nowhere's very far away in Beccles he replied and then went on to regale me with tales of how excited they used to get when arriving there from Surrey on family holidays to visit his grandparents. Well, the quay turned out to be further away from the town centre than we remembered and the walk back was all uphill - took us a while as he needed to stop to catch several times his breath because of his COPD. But our reward was a nice cup of coffee and slice of cake in the posh tea rooms.
Good morning all 🥱 ☕️ We slept well … although at one stage I woke and thought it must be morning … but it was only 11:30 😝 Now for coffees in bed, showers, a proper hotel breakfast and then we’ll go to the farm shop on the farm where I was born, just a couple of miles from here, and get some supplies for the weekend … then a gentle drive home … Have a good day folks …

Morning all. Was up at 6 45 , usually seems to be around 7 this time of year. Was up with the dog at 2 am,no idea what time I eventually got back to sleep, wanted to share this picture . A couple of weeks ago we went to Eastbourne soapbox derby,it was great fun,a fantastic turnout and gorgeous sunny day. One team was called the White Squirrel and they explained there was one in Eastbourne. My grandaughter saw it on Friday walking through the park to school
Beautiful squirrel @Nanny Beach. I wonder which park? OH's grandchildren live in Eastbourne.
Nearly home now @Dovefromabove. I hope you find something delicious in the farm shop.
We are going to the church Harvest Supper tonight. We've been told to wrap up warm as they can't afford to put the heating on in church this winter. Harvest Service tomorrow.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all. Looks to be a lovely day here, sun, blue skies and no wind, so much nicer than the gale force hoolies and torrential downpours that we have experienced over the past few days. Will have to watch out for our local 'flood' when I trip down to the village shop this morning - where our first hill down the mountain meets a short area of flat ground (right on a bend) there is a drain that regularly blocks with all the autumn leaves getting washed down the road. We get an area of around 30' of flooded road until it eventually drains away. It can get to around 12" deep, no problem to the old Landrover coz if it washes in under the doors it just washes out again on the other side (just have to remember to wear my wellie boots in case!) but for normal cars it can be a problem if the drivers are not prepared and driving properly for the conditions. Great fun! Hope all those feeling under the weather improve very soon, those on holiday enjoy their time away and those travelling stay safe.

We are just slowly getting through our days. No activity. 🙄
It's raining! Hooray for Casey!! Gentle soft rain. Was going to cycle to the SM this morning but I will have to take the car unfortunately.
It seems that you have problems getting a flu' jab up there - I hope you all get it eventually, not forgetting that it takes 2 weeks to work.
Enjoy your French cruise @Allotment Boy I hope the weather treats you well.
