    Morning all.

    Enjoy your dinner @D0rdogne_Damsel

Hospital have phoned. Pre-op assessment for OH on 24th. I just hope he doesn't get too stressed this time.

    Does that mean it's OH's birthday @Dovefromabove?

Thanks for the tip @Dovefromabove - just been on the NHS website and booked myself and MrC in for one tomorrow.  Loads of slots available, so guess the system must have just opened.

Chipped a tooth last week and got an emergency repair.  The repair fell out yesterday so I’m back to the dentist this morning.  Drat and double drat.

Great news about the pre-op assessment @Busy-Lizzie ... that means they're getting a move on at last.   No, not OH's birthday (that's just before Christmas).  Just that today's the first day that folk 50+ can book their Seasonal Boosters.

    Drat! indeed @chicky 🙄

    Hi all
    Another lovely sunny day.
No side effects from the vaccine, which is great, as I am meeting my sisters tomorrow to celebrate little ones 60th.

At least you are able to get a dentist appointment @chicky.  We can too here (all private though).  What a shame about your NDN and is Ozzy relatives @Dovefromabove. Good your OH can get his booster.
    Have fun celebrating tomorrow @punkdoc.
Nice and sunny here but I am looking at the table I work from in dismay - it needs a good old sort out - papers everywhere!

Not sure whether this is real, or imagined, but when the builders were here, we got them to double the amount of insulation in our loft, to 600mm., and the house really feels warmer.

who'd have thought that the frustration of spending an hour at the council offices would be made all better by watching the 1 o'clock news?
I've not laughed so much for ages.

I know @hostafan :D ... 'they' must've known I'd not got a lot on today ... I've been able to enjoy the minute by minute account ... albeit whilst hiding behind the sofa wondering what the heck is going to come next 😱

  • Hi everyone, back to Autumn everywhere.  I  have skimmed back, hope I haven't missed anything significant.  Hope you and hubby are better soon @Pat E
Yes we have been watching the news too, what a mucking fuddle.  Trouble is the damage is already done, and won't be reversed.

It's been a stressful week with the house looking like it has been re-modelled by Russian artillery. Planting around the house has not appreciated having the roof structure thrown onto it. Hopefully all the rot has now been sorted on the roof and we are now seeing tiles going back on. It has been a cool week with nothing but underfelt between us and the stars at night so I will be putting more insulation in the loft when it is done.
