    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
((HUGE HUGS)) to all those who could do with a bit of TLC.

4C and bright sunshine here at the moment …  another trip out today to take a box of old paperwork to the pension man … he’s going to get it shredded for me 🙏  and I need to take him some other bits and bobs.
Then a bit of faffing around and a lazy day beckons 😊

    Morning all.

Thank you for listening and for your sympathy yesterday.

When I've hung out the washing we are off to Morrisons.

    🤞 @Busy-Lizzie 🤗

I may not be posting much today
… broadband is being dug up in our road and others nearby. We’ve been warned that the service may be erratic.

I may be knitting socks …

Evening all, continuing warm and sunny again. Woke up late so had to nip to our big Sainsbury's for morning paper, wrong decision, roadworks everywhere, manic scooter riders and one very nervous P driver taking 10 goes to reverse into a 2 car space. We were all very patient with her and nobody beeped which was a blessing. Still can't get frozen broccoli florets though, presumably not enough pickers.
Have booked the hotel stay, going to Winchester where my mum was born. We've even been offered free parking which is an added bonus.
Haven't got through to the chimney sweep though, perhaps he's booked solid for the next six months. Doesn't really matter as we haven't used the fireplace for years. I was just trying to get organised for any future blackouts. Anybody else doing that?

Had a lovely long chat with daughter, silly girl, she's just worked 8 days straight with really long hours. She knows that's draft but is so conscientious.

Cooker's just beeped at me so dinner awaits, just a readymade lasagne tonight.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
A beautiful autumn morning … 6C at the moment.
We’ve been warned that we’ll probably be without t’internet on and off again today …
Hope all are well … sending hugs to those who need them … 🤗

    Morning all.

We are going out to lunch today, another pub. We went there with the people whose B&B we were staying in 7 years ago when we were househunting. Then the pub stopped doing meals because the owner, who was the chef, was ill. It's up and running again.

Tonight the vicar is giving a talk, more historical than religious. We like the vicar and he is a good speaker so we thought we'd pop along to that.

    Hi all

Builders are still here, but promise they will be finished today.

    Hello everyone!

Slow start to the day - overcast and dull.  The sun has come out now and promises to be a lovely afternoon for dog walking.  Ambient temperature - 22°C.  Perfick!

Washed and vacuumed the car this morning.  It's spick 'n dandy. Not one of my favourite tasks.  Chimney to be swept this afternoon.

I have Daikon and white radishes ready to eat.  I like the tender tops tossed in a bit of butter with cubes of boiled potato all fried up like bubble and squeak.

Nice pub lunch @Busy-Lizzie   I don't seem to be able to eat a big meal these days.   But then, if someone is preparing it and cleaning up - why not?  Nice to go out.
I hope the builders finish and clean up @punkdoc

I hope everyone has a pleasant afternoon.

Totally unnecessary and unwarranted @Hostafan1 on this thread in particular. Post if you must on the Politics thread which I can ignore.

Have you nothing better to do?

I disagree about it being either unnecessary or unwarranted.
