Our scaffolders turned up at 5pm and finished in the dark about 7:30. Ever seen those moments on Grand Designs when vans and lorries have trouble on narrow, steep or muddy drives? Not that our's is a Grand Design contender, just a roof repair. It is like watching a very slow motion car crash. I will be cutting back all the damaged branches on various trees and shrubs harmed in the process. At least I can take advantage of the scaffolding to properly clean a window at the back of the house which is very hard to reach normally.
At the airport in Corfu for trip home. We've had an amazing time, absolutely lovely, everything and everyone. Even the poor over worked staff at the airport, the passport controller was saying it shouldn't be this busy in October, its more like August he said. He kept smiling though.
Looking forward to a days shopping in Cambridge tomorrow on my own though with a sneaky trip to a museum.
