Hi everyone, happy birthday @Nanny Beach . The bruises are still developing, I won't post another picture, for some reason a lot of it is around my heel which is odd as that was fully protected in the boot , maybe it's all just draining down.
I expect your leg will be multi-coloured by tomorrow @Allotment Boy 🤕
I hope you have some decent pain killers @punkdoc. Seems a bit inhumane to allow people to suffer for days. A pet dog would be seen and sorted.
Done my bit today as took Dad for his Flu jab and then we went shopping. He paid for my petrol on the way home as a thank you 😊
Feet up now, catching up on some tv recordings and might have a go at my new puzzle book - ‘garden lover’s quiz and puzzle book’. Might be posting some questions later if I get stuck!
Afternoon all, I, too, have had an eventful day so far. Son turned up in good time for lunch, drove him into Bath so he could meet his mate at the rugby match. So far, so good. Then had a phone call to say he'd left his mobile at our place so couldn't call his friend to arrange a meeting place. Gave me his friend's number so I called Matt and told him where to meet. All sorted - not - son had forgotten that the match tickets were safely stored on his phone! So he had to phone me again, give me more instructions on how to navigate his phone, find the email with the tickets, forward them to his friend's phone, all this with 10 minutes to go to match start! Fingers crossed he's received them by now.
Phew, to say my son is renowned for either losing things or forgetting them is an understatement. Last time he stayed here, he left his phone behind. When we got in the car, I had asked him if he'd got his keys, wallet, glasses and so on. Yeah, yeah......
We've had more rain so the ground is absolutely saturated and I had wanted to plant my new DA rose but it will have to wait again.
Street market looked good DD and literary tea sounds interesting.
I had a similar experience in our car Dove, but had actually driven a few yards with the handbrake still on. Alarms are sometimes useful but can be very irritating sometimes.
You are unlikely still to be infectious @Ergates according I think to the NHS website. In fact you were probably more infectious a few days before you tested positive. We didn't bother to isolate from each other as we thought it a waste of time living in the same house.
Back from serving tea and cake at the craft fair. I was quite busy as there was washing up to do as well. My cake was the first to sell out 😀 I bought a pretty jug from a pottery lady.

Happy Birthday @Nanny Beach I hope you are enjoying your day. It's been hot here today 29 deg, I do wish it would cool down, I can't believe I'm still having to do some watering in the garden. We also have these alarm things that go off in the car, I have on occasion not closed the boot quite properly but it soon lets you know, also with a picture! No wonder people resort to pulling their own teeth out @punkdoc, !!
You are probably right, Lizzie27, but I would be devastated if OH got ill and I hadn’t done all I could to prevent it. We did debate whether to bother isolating from each other, having been sharing bed and board until after I got symptoms - I didn’t test till the following day, because I couldn’t believe it could be covid. He tested negative that day, so, just to be safe, I headed off to the ‘isolation wing’. He still hasn’t developed any symptoms. I think he got the worst of the deal, he has taken over all the cooking and is deprived of the pleasure of my company. I have the run of the guest wing, watching chick flicks, reading, and having my meals delivered to my door!
Thank you folks. Walked on the beach this morning hubby dogs and 12 year old granddaughter, hot chocolate in the tiny seafront harbour cafe. It was 18c people wearing shorts and t-shirts. It's not the latest Jack Reacher it's Peter James! Enjoying my knitting now.
A quick hello to wish @Nanny Beach a Happy Birthday, sounds as though you have had a lovely day and nice prezzies too. Belated Birthday wishes to @chicky, what a clever hubby. Wishing a restful Sunday to you all.
