    Morning all.

What a good looking couple @Pat E.  Happy quiet anniversary.

We are taking OH's car to the city for a minor repair. Hoping to drop off the verbascums, that I forgot last time, at @Dovefromabove's. Don't know what time. Garage is lending us a car and OH wants to go and look at trousers in M&S. We will have to hire a mobility scooter.

What a lovely photo @Pat E and many congratulations on your 50th anniversary, glad that you are feeling a bit better, celebrations can wait until you are both fully recovered. Keeping my fingers crossed for @punkdoc re results from the court but knowing the legal system ........... still you never know. Weather looks dull and as if rain is due any minute - forecast said dry today so of course it will rain.
    Have a good Thursday folks.

I’ve got to laugh. Hubby dragged up an old photo of us from the 70s. We don’t look like this nowadays. 🙄😁

Oh yes you do … on the inside ❤️  😉

  • Great photo @Pat E congratulations on 50 years.
I did my volunteer day yesterday for a change, as the current miserable weather was accurately forecast for today. It was a good day up to the last minute   when I had a bit of an accident.  I won't bore you with the details,  but I have a very nasty lump just above my left ankle.  The perils of gardening!

It's been persisting down here all morning, so I took OH to work in the car rather than him cycling, and combined it with stopping off at the PO to dispatch Wonky's tax return and buy some stamps and wrapping paper ... we're running out of our stash of recycled stuff.  Before we got in the car there was the beginnings of  split pea & ham soup chuntering in the slow cooker and bread dough proving.  Now I'm back at home and sam prepping carrots and potatoes to add to the soup later, the bread is in the oven and the floors have been swept ... but I've lost track of what time I put the bread in the oven  :/

ETA @Busy-Lizzie just popped by with some lovely sturdy looking verbascums ... she knew that I'm busy today and expecting niece to arrive imminently so said they wouldn't stop for coffee .... we had a quick chat on the doorstep ... then as soon as they drove off I had a text from niece saying she'd had to work last night so was driving up today and won't be here until much later ...  lol ... I can slow down a bit ...

:o  Just remembered ... OH abandoned ship to the spare room the other night when my neck was so painful ...... I'd better change the bedding in case niece stays here either tonight or tomorrow ... whether she stays with us will depend on how many of her friend's student-house-mates are at home so there's no telling until she gets to Norwich ...
