@Rojas, where did you get Kathryn Morley from, please? Your roses are as always stunning. I suppose it's just the light but I love the gentle almost coffee-blush tones of your Cymbeline, too.
@pitter-patter's HC standard (like everything else from his garden) is always a pleasure to see again.
Orange/apricot are my favourite, @Eustace, and your collection is stunning
@WAMS I have got Kathryn Morley and Cymbeline from TCL in 2020.
Cymbeline blooms are large, greyish pink in general, deeper apricot pink during spring and pale pink to white in summer. Strong myrrh scent which is unpleasant to my nose. The same bloom when it’s fully opened. Spring:
@Eustace I like orange roses. I have Westerland in Norfolk and Marie Curie and Lady Emma Hamilton in France. I had Lady of Shallot and Summer Song in pots but I gave them to my daughter when I moved house.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
@Eustace that is my favourite colour range of roses. Love those. Louise Clements had been in my wish list for ages.
@cooldoc, this was a great idea, enjoying beautiful roses everyday now.
And it has made me think, I am so disorganized, I dont have any central place for photos, just randomly stored in some old phones. No names, no dates, nothing and I cant share anything because of that. I am in general very organized person (my home is well organized), I need to follow that for photos too.
I too love apricot/ peachy colour tones @Eustace and you have a good amount of those.. Masquerade was the one I liked the most.. as you said, scented ones are harder to come by..
Cymbeline changes so much @Rojas Myrrh could be subjective.. I was skeptical at first but now I love them.. especially the pure Austin ones..
thanks @newbie77 Winter thread will go out with a bang.. hopefully the weather will also settle by then..
Super Trouper.. (Ab Fab next to it) no scent.. I liked it in all other aspects.. will be donating it shortly..
Odelia.. Poulsen's orangey red.. rain resitant, long lasting blooms.. blooms in large clusters.. edges crisp in full sun.. another one that did not make the cut as the scent was not strong to my nose.. medium at best..
Lady Emma Hamilton.. severe pruning turned it into a dwarf..
Natalija.. a Pheno Geno that I liked.. floriferous.. medium to strong scent..
Clementina Carbonieri.. search for Tea scent led me to this one.. and I like the Tarry, Tea scent.. the snaky blooms have a unruly look once opened..
@cooldoc My Sheila's Perfumed is now 7 years old, and has proved to be a lovely flowering rose. It has its problems, like blackspot, but I don't care. The amount of flowers last year was amazing. It didn't mind the heat and put on a good show.
