I meant to say before how much I liked @Nollie 's Harlow Carr and @Eustace 's Super Dorothy. I've had Harlow Carr on my list before, I think it could be a candidate for a pot and the petals on Super Dorothy are just wonderful.
To follow on from the earlier comments about interesting rose foliage, I think the colours on Vintage Classic here add to the sweetie-bowl look of this pot. Flowers were somewhat disfigured last year, first year. I'm hoping it was the heat and have moved it further up the drive so it is in shadow until later in the day.
My PAOK was never that lovely pink @cooldoc, heat brought out rather unpleasant (to my eye) warm coral tones. Apart from the thorns, Harlow Carr does improve with age and we have come to an accommodation over the years after constantly threatening it with the shovel. My canes are pretty sturdy, but I agree, pitter-patter’s standard shows of the nodding blooms to best effect.
@Busy-Lizzie I meant to say, don’t be disappointed if young blooms on Astronomia blow fast, the slightest breeze seemed to dislodge them at first, leaving confetti everywhere, but by the end of it’s first season it settled down and lost that trait. Be interesting to hear of yours does the same, actually.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
That’s pretty @Victoria Sponge, just commented on Harlow Carr above, it’s very compact so ideal for a pot, preferably one set high so you can see the blooms properly without crawling on the floor!

CG looks similar to Louise Odier Nollie... yes we will do the apricots/ Oranges tomorrow..
@Athelas are you growing Flower carpet as a ground cover or in a pot?
Pink continues.. Elizabeth.. started off as non fragrant and later was very fragrant.. colour would be more pink in cooler months..
Fruity Parfuma.. Fragrant, healthy.. upright..
Louise Odier.. scattered blooms in first year and arching habit.. scent was not as strong as some others..
Liliana.. shell pink.. fragrant.. suffered this year badly with ???bugs/ deficiency
Boscobel.. upright habit similar to Emily..
Lyda rose.. wafting spicy scent.. I believe it is called ?Musky
Lily (Pheno Geno).. bouquets of blooms that last long.. resistant to rain and sun.. only mildly scented..
Eustacia Vye.. takes break between blooms..
Gabriel Oak..
Platinum Jubilee (Harkness).. potted plant was mildewed, small, non fragrant blooms.. I have given it one more year.. their catalogue says it is strongly fragrant.. can't believe it came from the same house as Chandos Beauty..
Will include lilacs/ blues as another category.. Munstead should be included with reds? I think we recently had a run of reds during valentines day.. probably we can included those with lilacs..??
@Nollie I know you hate the coral hues.. but somehow I like those small changes in a rose.. for me, makes it more attractive than plain pink.. What I don't like is that PAOK scent can be a mushy mess sometimes.. not the pure rose/ tea scent.. atleast not most of the days..

@cooldoc it’s for ground cover. The pink is kind of neon-lipstick-y but it’s such a low maintenance plant, with unbelievably healthy foliage and the flowers last quite a while, the petals that do fall aren’t so messy.
Your Lily looks very nice, I’m trying to resist getting another Pheno Geno…
Everyone and especially @Marlorena I’m blow away by all those pinks!
Finally pruned , trained mulched and even fed all climbers this weekend. Hurray. Let spring start ! Hopefully we had the last snow this week until next winter.

Summer romance.. strong scent.. but medicinal to my nose.. Ab Fab has similar but milder scent..
La Rose de Molinard... Love it for the scent and colour of blooms..
Amazing day.. never gets enough of the way it changes colour and the scent.. long blooming season followed by a long break..
