Sending my best wishes for your recovery @bcpathome. Please heed all the good advice above from the knowledgeable rose lovers on here and put yourself first. Enjoy your 'Roald Dahl' and look forward to next year's roses.
Here the season has ended very unsettled, with some torrential rain at times. But Ghislaine is still going, and Bonica, if rather waterlogged.
Im waiting with guilty amusement to see what new bare roots randomly turn up over the next month, I think I preordered a couple of smaller ones before I got covid that ive forgotten about!! Ah well, front garden is going spare! Edit; I did! Loyal companion from peter beales, colour changing short peachy pink and lavender symphonies... ordered in may!
WhereAreMySecateurs yes you can ‘Heel in’ more than one rose into a big hole but the roots do tend to get tangled. You’d be better off digging a trench and putting the roses side by side in that. Also you can only leave the roses ‘Heeled in’ for between 10-12 weeks. The shorter the time the better because over winter is when bare root roses concentrate on growing roots to anchor and feed the rose before the new growth starts in spring.
Goodness, missed all the news! Adding my congrats to @Mr. Vine Eye and extending my sympathy and wishing speedy recovery to @bcpathome.
I’ve barely had time to look at the roses of late, what with a series of family and friends staying and lots of puppy socialisation outings. The garden is overrun with weeds and pots are looking a bit neglected and dry but everyone packed off out today as I supervise the little un after her rabies jab. I’ll at least get some watering done today, I hope!
LENS news - well they are not renewing their stocks of DA standards ‘this year’ and although they didn’t say, I suspect restrictive licensing strikes again. So I shall be forced to stick with an Empereur Charles IV standard and not swapping for TaB or GO.

Hmm, several more photos but now they are now not loading, something weird is going on with the facility.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Thanks to everyone for their kind words ,every day a little better thanks but it’s going to be a while yet . How come you’ve all got blooms still going on? And lovely they are too ,I only have Roald Dahl going still which I am enjoying .Only got an iPad so can’t post pics I’m afraid .
About 1/2 of my roses are in bloom or bud, @bcpathome... not sure why! The power of Tomorite? (Not that they have had any since the start of August...)
Hoping the photos will load now.🙄
William and Catherine... quite neat and pretty. Smells like cardboard. Blooms smaller than Tranquillity.
Henri Delbard
Rose des Cisterciens unfortunately balling in the rain... that wasn't a problem this summer.😁
Buds on Nostalgia... love that painted look.
Possible Rachel
Boule de Neige
Cosmos attack!
Amazing Day... more amazing earlier in the summer.
I can only see two of your photos WAMS. Mine seem to be loading again.
@bcpathome I only use an iPad and take all of my photos with it directly rather than use a camera so it’s easy to load them. One step at a time but something to consider for next year..
Many of my roses and perennials are having a second wind after stopping flowering in the summer heatwave, but depending on the weather, some roses can flower until the end of November. Liquid feeding with Tomorite or similar high potash feed does help to keep them going, on top of slow-release rose food applied in Spring and Summer and regular deadheading.

I assume the same nollie . Some strict licensing going on with the DA on the continent.
I’m trying meanwhile to order bare roots from fils. But for some reason the payment just does not process… maybe not meant to be? wanted to order love song with blue Eden ( bit of a gamble tbh )
