    I'm happy to take the credit but I think you mean Nollie, Lizzie..   good find on TCL.. they seem to be something of a maverick in the rose world..

    @Marlorena yeah im sure night owl will perk up! I better go and relabel Diamond eyes with a strap lavel before I forget again, I think something 4 legged may have pinched the seed label I stuck on ;) (i actually double label bare roots for that reason!)

    Apologies if I missed a discussion a while back, but has anyone ordered the 2023 rose of the year peach melba?  What do you recon to the promo pics?
    It looks quite pretty... I quite like peachy colours. Curious how it will do for those that have it.

    That's fast, @Marlorena. Hope your roses make it across the channel to you double-quick!

     @Victoria Sponge I am going to have to Google nearly all of those. They look terrific

    Was really tempted by Crown Princess Margareta there, @Nollie, but I think my new Bathsheba will have to do in its stead. Not really worth the postage just for one, and Versigny and Purple Lodge are sadly OOS.🎻 Anyway, had better see what the power bill is like for this month before buying any more roses.😬

    Loving everyone's reviews of roses 🙂
    I'm away whole of this month; hope my roses are withstanding the cold and frosty weather well.
    Btw, does anyone know whether TCL has resumed shipping DA bareroots to UK? TIA.

    Good question, perhaps someone else can answer that Eustace.

    @JessicaS
    ..keeping tabs on our roses is rather like the Comedy of Errors.. we all get muddled and mixed up.   I've got photos on my computer that I've no idea which is what..
    Besides, let's be honest, we're all totally insane.. as if our gardens are not full enough, another dozen roses just to make sure..

    I was convinced yesterday was Friday, today Saturday.. my husband now tells me it's Sunday.. oh well,  I was so looking forward to my Saturday - been and gone apparently..

    .. so many good roses, and that Icicle !..   I've had Souvenir de Mme. August Charles from your list, lovely compact Bourbon, I remember the smallish blooms weathered quite well here.. hope it does well for you..

    @Perki, quite a few Gabriel growers on here have said theirs was slow to take off and did much better in a pot, so if you extract a replacement maybe try growing it on in a pot for a year first? You could also dig up and pot your current one to see if it improves, that way you might end up with two like Mr. Vine Eye!

    @punkdoc that is puzzling. Some roses just seem to just decline over time, does anyone have a mature Princess Anne and can help punkdoc? If it didn’t repeat flower only this year I would’ve said hot weather, but two on the trot is different..

    @Eustace, well Pam285 just got Falstaff and LEH - I’m sure they’re not supposed to ship DAs to the UK under their licence now you mention it, so if anyone still wants any I hope they bag them before TCL realise their ‘mistake’!

    I occasionally get roses mixed up too since I don’t label them, I’m sure I posted a photo of Gertie as Harlow Carr last year, or maybe it was the other way around..
