  • So windy! Lady of the lake has blown free from her moorings. But not too badly. Position the canes have ended up in she's best left and retied when the wind's died down.

Saw a bumble bee on the crocuses this morning 😊

I’ve tried many a brand of forks and spades over the years but Bulldog is the only one that I don’t mangle due to both my carelessness and my heavy, rocky clay soil. Hand tools have to cheap and replaceable, more so now because of the pup half inching them. @PeterAberdeen I’m myopically peering at everything using an old pair of glasses at the moment because said pup got my new prescription, very expensive ones and crunched them. I think Smudge and Agatha would get on very well 😃

which, at the rate they are going, may even be enough to procure one of their new bare root releases...

Just another day at the plant...

Very lovely @Mr. Vine Eye  up against your wall there, with the pretty blue flowers running through... I think this rose really suits red brick..

Lovely roses, I'm slowly coming round to orange roses, after only having pink, cream and white ones, and two dark red ones. Started with an apricot peachy one and looking forward eagerly to my new GdF which has lovely new shoots.

My new Strawberry Hill also looks promising. Will pick up more Rose Food at the GC later this morning on the way out for lunch.
