Was very misty, now the sun has come out. More weeding today. Only have today and tomorrow to weed as rain is forecast all week and I go back to Norfolk on the 3rd.
I bought a shrub rose, Darcey Bussell, on special offer soon after I moved here. I planted it in middle of the round rose bed. Now it thinks it's a climber. I wanted to buy an obelisk for it but none of the GCs within 45 mins of here has one. I've ordered one from Amazon. Should come on Thursday.
My washing machine has got very noisy. I think the drum may be loose. Does anyone know if it's worth repairing or should I buy a new one?
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all, A lot of showers here but I don't mind. I have had a few good days in the garden so a day off won't do any harm. Nothing planned and I'm really not feeling housework. Might sort out my art stuff as the new term starts tomorrow. Really looking forward to it. Art Deco in drawing and Impressionism in watercolour class this term, both favorites of mine. Good afternoon, not a lot to report here, did a bit in the garden yesterday but intermittent showers today, much cooler as predicted. Hope to get to plots tomorrow. I have mixed feelings about grape hyacinths @Pat E we have inherited a lot in the front garden , the flowers are OK but then they are just bland green spikes, very invasive too.
Thats a face mask, remember when we were young we would use a clay face mask, let it set, don’t smile or you’ll crack it, then wash it off not noticing a bit of difference, that’s what they look like these days.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

Before you panic, check it hasn’t just shaken itself out of balance. Might need pushing back into position and getting out the spirit level. My old machine was a pretty vigorous spinner, and managed to gradually move itself until it was banging against the cabinet next to it. Also worth digging out the instructions on how to empty it and remove the load, in case it gives up the ghost in the middle of a wash.

The brown water isn't sand, it's mud which washes down massive 30m wide storm gullies, all the way down from the mountains.

I hope they throw the book at the hate filled homophobe.

I'm sure giving up smoking would be more to help his skin than face masks
