    Good morning everyone.

Yes, those autumn mornings and evenings are definitely here!!  Sunny pleasant days still although they are getting shorter.

@punkdoc  Hi there - slowly but surely but as the French would say, slowly in the morning and not too fast in the evening!!!  And that goes for everyone with their aches and pains after jabs and just getting "on" !!  @Hosta - bad luck about the rain, but it was most probably welcomed by the locals.  You've had some nice days though!!

Some sweeping on the cards this morning - there are olives everywhere!!

    Have an enjoyable day.

  • Do you do anything with the olives @tui34?  Brine them etc?

    Morning all.

Glad you're on the mend @punkdoc.

I hope you have a lovely holiday @Dovefromabove and Mr Dove, safe journey.

I've been to the lab for blood tests. My new GP ordered them just before I left for Norfolk last time but I didn't have time. Can't remember when I last had blood tests, must be well over 10 years ago. Last GP never prescribed them and I hardly ever went to the surgery anyway. Slightly worried as it was the same for my sister and now she's on statins and is diabetic and has had to go on a diet. But she was always fatter than me.

Most of the locals are horrified by the rain.
You'd think it was the end of the world. Bless'em

Hi all. Great to hear you are starting to recover, Punkdoc.
Feeling a lot better this morning, approaching normal again, apart from a runny nose. Did another test this morning, another negative, fourth in five days, so looks as if it was just a bad cold /flu.
Hope the blood test goes well, Busy-Lizzie. OH has just had his first test for over three years, taking meds etc, and was expecting the worst. All came back normal, to his great surprise and relief.
I’ll be taking it easy again today.

I preserved some olives about a month ago @Dovefromabove - posted a photo 'n all!!
I did 2.5kg which is ample.  They are in a dark room now for a couple of months.

@Hostafan1  The folk are like that here - 1 day (preferably night) of rain, they are happy - more than than they walk around with long faces.  This is the midi - the people here are sunshine itself!!

  • Whoops!  So you did @tui34  … 🤭 now that you remind me …🫣

Tyres pumped, ham and cheese rolls made (that’s ham rolls and cheese rolls … not both together 😲) Route decided on … now all that’s left for me to do is pack my clothes …

One of the problems of lying in bed for a few days, is the temptation to buy plants, so of course I succumbed and a delivery is arriving today. Good news, but I have been sent back to bed, apparently I am looking weak and feeble, so Moira will be opening the box. What’s the problem you think, she will find out how much I have spent?

Oh dear @punkdoc  🫢Can you convince her that they’re a present for her?  The only problem with that is that she’s no fool and she knows you very well 🤔
I think your best strategy is to say you have no memory of ordering them … you must’ve been delirious 🫣
