  • LB enjoy your hols.
  • My mum had summer and winter curtains and it was very annoying, being the youngest and going to bed first, in summer. Our bedroom faced West and thin cotton doesn't shut out much light.

Hello Rosy BB - lovely to see you. How's Alfie doing?

Hello too to you Mrs B3. I have always had summer and winter curtains in the sitting room. Now it's a warm red / gold aztec style design for winter when we want to draw the curtains from about 7pm and cozy in. A pure white lightweight curtain for the summer when we never draw the curtains and want to enhance all the light available.

Last year I invested in someblackout curtains for our bedroom. Made a big difference this summer not being awake at 4am....
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
  • Hello Topbird Alfie’s eating well.  The nights are drawing in now but there was sunshine this afternoon.  @star gaze lily I hope you and oh are okay and getting some sleep.  Wishing all a restful evening.

Good morning all. Fiancé is home from Bristol and working on a wedding for Friday.
My oven has stopped working so I need to contact the letting agency, it’s lighting up but no heat, only 2 years old but I don’t think it was expensive. Trying to plan “no oven” meals

    Morning all.

We are going out to lunch today, another pub. We went there with the people whose B&B we were staying in 7 years ago when we were househunting. Then the pub stopped doing meals because the owner, who was the chef, was ill. It's up and running again.

Tonight the vicar is giving a talk, more historical than religious. We like the vicar and he is a good speaker so we thought we'd pop along to that.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Morning all. Have come back from visit a little early as OH and I have not been well, suffering upset stomachs, sickness and fatigue . We were rather stressed out so p, as we didn't want to pass anything on to mum, came home.It was lovely to see mum however.
Going to take it easy over next few days now although I have a mountain of stuff for Lily's TV( some brought from mums) so the " TV" will be working overtime for a while.
Hope Topbird and LB are having a wonderful holdiday. Hope everyone else is doing okay. Will read back in a  little while.
