Labour, on the other hand, still seems, all too often again, to believe you need to feed and manage people rather than teach them how to feed and manage themselves and to aim for a better standard of living.

Neither option is a winner for economic growth and more general well-being.
Genuinely, what do you make of this:

    Exactly @Fire.

I am appalled sometimes at the hatred, vitriol and sheer vindictiveness of some of the posts on here against the Tories. It's why I don't post.

I think @Astraeus's assumptions were spot on.

I think there are - a religion is just a belief - typically in some form of creating power, so I'm not sure it has to be organised by anyone to be a religion. It's in that organisation that the power and problem resides - the organisers force their belief system on the followers as that is what gives them the power.

I'd bet my house that the three lazy assumptions I made do, in fact, hold true. There is simply zero chance that this forum's most common demographic is poor, employed POC. Zero.
That's very different from saying that people who garden are mostly white.

But kudos for managing to take umbrage ...

I don't see any umbrage being taken against you.

I definitely stand by that assumption.

    And OK.
  • If you garden, especially this year, I doubt you could be described as being White - pink, red, patchy tan coloured ( depending on your gardening clothes ) but not white.  If White is so wonderful, why do we do our best to try and alter the colour of our skin ?  Fake tanning products, tanning salons, sun bathing ?
White supremacists ( sp ? ) could be termed Vampires as they obviously never see the sunlight. ;)
I garden, change skin colour over 12 months and I don't vote Tory :D The latter tho is my choice as an individual - every poster on here has an equal right to their opinions whether it be how to get a good crop of tomatos, worry about their lawn or vote for whatever party they feel is best for the country as a whole.
No one should be frightened to put their point of view if they avoid denigrating others - it is only a Gardening Forum after all.

Astraeus the world is a very big place.

I'm off. I don't think these threads lead to lots of listening and learning. I end up feeling saddened by the forum. Keep it kind x

I could never be friends with a Tory. They are so evil that i would class them in the same bracket as paedophiles for the harm they cause.
