..and incidentally, since I'm here, I know of plenty of Little Scotlanders, one in particular.  Little Englanders only exist in the Guardian 'view' mindset.  England is too diverse a country for Nationalism.

The thing I'm most offended by these days is people that are over easily and every ready to be offended, that then go on to insist that everyone should be as offended as them.  This entire world has become ridiculous! No healthy debate allowed, no slightly out there opinions allowed, what a bunch of Sheeple we have become!

I'm off to take my emotional support crocodile for a walk.... I'm not attention seeking, or desperate to be a Tictok star..... I'm just very vulnerable and it makes me feel better..... If your not aware.... This is how ridiculous things are.... This was a news story.... Teenage girl walks emotional support crocodile.....I wonder if all the folks fighting in 2 world wars at the same age had emotional support animals to help with their trauma too 🤔
It's not just the politicians that are useless...... It seems to be the majority of people

Maybe i was wrong to compare Tories to paedophiles, but i was just trying to show how strongly i felt. The Tory party has caused so much harm to people i know, and they are a fascist party now. Some of their policies are disgraceful.

@Marlorena - I agree it is offensive.  Left wing extremism can be as blind and bigotted as the far right.

As for English nationalism I knew a couple inLeicestershire, recently deceased, who celebrated St George's day and flew the English flag but they were also open to immigration and the EU and, incidentally worked as Tory councillors at local and county level and ran a charity to take deprived kids, often Asian, to Mablethorpe for a week at the seaside every summer.  You don't have to be a little Englander to be nationalist and being patriotic doesn't have to close your mind to other nations or ways of doing things.

I met them thru twinning activities in Belgium and also met the Labour MEP for their area and her husband - both lazy, self-seeking and milking the job for every penny and privelege they could get their mitts on.   I also met Labour mayors from the twinned town and they were not cut from that same cloth but very wary of the EU project.   I've learned not to judge people by their party affiliations but by their deeds and words.

@Astraeus - that video is naive pie in the sky and some gratuitous stereotyping to boot.  Just silly.

I see a lot of dangerous fascism from the hard left.

I see far more from the far Right, and if you don’t believe English Nationalism exists, you have led a very sheltered life.

..and if you cannot tell right from wrong, then there's no hope for you.

I conclude, judging by the silence,  resident members of this thread appear to agree with comment made by Balgay Hill.

The point is @kili that people expect fascists to be right wing but you don't have to look very hard to find them on the left.

Either way, they're nasty and have other deep social failings such as sexism, bigotry and homophobia.

@Obelixx, I think you are confusing your Left and your Right, the failings you mention are far more common amongst the Right.
