Really heavy rain here! Started about an hour ago, quite a decent puddle formed on the patio. Wonderfully cool, too.

A short sharp shower here … maybe 5 minutes … I stood out in it for a while and watched a young dunnock flitting about on the runner beans … he’d never seen anything like it …

That was it tho … it’s stopped now …

Be careful what you wish for, torrential rain for the last hour, plants being flattened, water accumulating in puddles on the lawn.

Power and water off this morning,  they’ve rewired our water pumping station,  gave us all those bottles of water saying the job would be finished by 1.30pm,  actually finished at 11.15am nice job, pleased with what they’ve done.

Hi folks,  It's been threatening to rain all evening but no sign yet.  I hope it does arrive as I haven't watered.  Nothing exciting going on here but Firstborn and the family are back in the country, Secondborn got back on Saturday.  I don't know why but I always feel a bit anxious when they are abroad, silly isn't it.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
