    Good day everyone.

    Hot.Ā

Thought I’d be clever and go to SM early. All freezers and most fridges out of action. Sensibly they prioritised milk but I wanted salads and fresh stuff. Not a lettuce leaf. Luckily there is a ā€˜Didl-e-di’
SM near by and they had salad in abundance.Ā

Currently the coolest place is in the shade outside but soon it will be best to head indoors. I like the warm but this is energy-zapping.Ā

Take care all. Hope @Lizzie27 ā€˜s OH ok.Ā

Oh, poor Pippen @AnnaB - keeping everything crossed for a successful op and the ensuing recovery - what a lot of work you will all, including the pup, be putting in.
And what a scare for you @Lizzie27 - hopefully that is it and Mr.Lizzie27 will now make a full recovery.
Hope Son 2 gets some recompense for all that hassle @Busy-Lizzie.Ā Ā
    Lovely hellebores @Pat E!
My OH and I have separate bedrooms.Ā  He had a couple of major ops a few years ago and needed his space and we found it really suited us so we made the arrangement permanent.Ā Ā
No hosepipe ban here so we are watering the beds thoroughly on a sort of rotation basis.Ā  And last night we gave the planters in town that I am responsible for a feed, good water and deadheading.Ā
Delighted to see bats flitting about at dusk in my front garden!Ā  Normally we have the curtains closed but they were open last night so they will be open again tonight so I can see their crazy zig-zag flits!

We have been busy moving pots for the last hour. The west side passage ( sounds posh doesn't it) hardly gets any sun. I have put my potting bench trays and anything else that will hold water round there. Some of the bigger things on the patio are on a dripper system.Ā Ā IĀ  keep meaning to extend it but it's only when we're away and it's this hot that I think of it. Everything will get a good soak later and then it up to fate and the weather.Ā  IĀ  got over hopeful when they said its cooler next week it's still forecast for 25-26C here. Typically Dublin is set to be 17 and wet, could do with that here.Ā

Lovely christening celebration, although too hot, so we did not stay long. It was lovely to see so many young children enjoying themselves.

How lovely @punkdoc 😊 … it seems a page has been turned in more ways than one 😊

We've been watching a flaming sunset … the windows and doors to the garden are wide open and there’s a little cooler air coming in … the bats are beginning to make an appearance, we have our feet up and are listening to tonight’s Prom (Elgar’s cello concerto) and OH has just fixed a couple of theseĀ

    Cheers! šŸ˜ŽĀ
