Good morning SGL and Ruby. I have been twitting about in the garden GH and garage. I'm probably too late SGL but I'm going to make myself another cuppa so if anyone wants to join in, feel free.
It is amazing how great you can feel having had a good night's sleep.

Hazel oops, apologies, belated birthday wishes to 23 on a special day. Lily hope your well too. It’s warmer today. I’ve been pressing some clothes and I’ve baked some bread this morning. Biglad I hope you’re rested after golf. LB hope you enjoyed Canasta and your BP is settling down. Busy hope your knee is less painful. Lily I had an early night glad you slept well. Hope oh slept well too. LBnill join you for some tea.
I'm very sorry for my absent, but whole last week I balance between school and cottage. It was again brutally hot, and watering was every day job. At least next week we can expect much desired rain. I didn't read back, but will do it this weekend. I ordered some seeds few days ago, and it arrived yesterday, same as few tulip and daffodil bulbs.
Now is time for short break, and then I'll harvest grapes. There will be enough for jam and many other things.
We've just come back from the monthly village farmers market. Fewer stalls and fewer people than usual. No veg lady, no plant lady, maybe because of the drought. No sausage rolls or cheese straws for OH. Maybe fewer customers because the road is closed at one end for sewage pipes for a new housing estate. It has been rather inconvenient and the works should be finished now but they look only half way through.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I'll join you in another cup of tea @Ladybird4 The sun has gone behind the clouds, probably because I've put some wet cloths things out to dry. The birds seems much chirping the last few days, they obviously didn't like it so hot either. Good to see you @Ante1 hope you can have a relaxing weekend. @Busy-Lizzie shame there were fewer stalls today, hope you got everything else you needed apart from OHs sausage rolls and cheese straws 😔
Rosie, I had fun catching up with my friends at Canasta yesterday thank you.
Ante, we all know that you are so busy and I'm sorry to hear that the weather is still unbearable for you. I have got some Fritillaria bulbs on order 100 of them - that will be another job to add to my 'to do' list but it will be a happy job. I received some perennial sunflower seeds that other day but I won't be sowing them until next Spring. Now I just have to find a safe place to keep them where they won't get 'lost' between now and then.
Busy, you will have to get your recipes out and make some cheese straws for your OH
