I'm off soon to help with the church fête in a nearby village, selling raffle tickets.
Son 1 and family will arrive later this afternoon. I hope their bedrooms won't be too warm. Windows were open all night, just shut them and the shutters. Thunderstorms are forecast for tonight. Hope there will be rain but not violence. A lot of houses in town and around are still covered with black polythene sheeting, because of damaged rooves from the hail tornado.

Morning all, another hot one here. Off to feed Besties cat in a minute and need to pick up some fruit. Other than that the day is mine. Hope everyone has a good one.
Morning @Ladybird4 I wondered where you were this morning. That was an early visit to the SM. Good idea, probably few shoppers and still nice and early when you got back home. Poor Lily cat, still no treats. She'll be wondering what she's done 😉😁 Thank you LB, it's really draining him, hopefully they are right in next weeks forecast. Haha @Ante1 marks have now disappeared. I look a bit more normal now. @Busy-Lizzie have a lovely day with your son and family. Your apple fruit cake sounds yummy. A belated happy birthday to your daughter 🎉🥂🎂💐🥂🎉
A couple of miles from us there has been a fire in the fields. By the time the firefighters got it controlled it had burnt just over 40 acres. We have fields at the back of us and also Woodlands. The farmer hasn't cut the field directly behind us yet this year. A few odd indoor jobs this morning and then a lazy afternoon. Have a good day everyone, take care in this heat.
LB, nice that you already done shopping. I see that you also have problem with food and treats for Lily. I also can't find some brands and it last now more than three months. Even on internet I can't buy anything from Wiskas or Schesir. On the other hand food for dogs come in many varieties and it's all available. Lucky Max.
Good morning Yvie. My cat sitting duties being finished, I took the opportunity to go early to the SM. There is a big Pride parade and all sorts of interesting community activities going on today in town and - wait for it - the 00's pop sensation, The Cheeky Girls, are going to be making an appearance on one of the stages at about 15:20 this afternoon. It will be heaving in town thanks to the fine weather so getting the shopping done early was my plan - especially as I was too pooped (i.e lazy!) to go yesterday.
Ante it is the W*****s Temptations that I cannot get and that is any flavour. Chicken and cheese flavour is Lily's favourite. I have managed to buy some on that big auction site and they should be here by Tuesday. The lady on the checkout even looked them up for me and her device just said No delivery. She was telling me that 'sco have fallen out with Pedigree (other pet suppliers available) and now do not stock any of their items. This next revelation made me smile. Apparently 'sco have also fallen out with the local food manufacturing plant and world renowned company which is well known for its Beanz, and have put all of their prices up. They daren't stop stocking their items though - there would be a riot!

Those Beans manufacturers and 'sco were on the news a few weeks ago. It said on there that they had stopped stocking all of that companies products. 🤷♀️ There's another well known brand of beans that we have been buying for quite a few years now, cheaper and I think much nicer. 😋 Hope Lily cats treats arrive on time @Ladybird4
SGL, please tell me that other brand as they are often my 'go to' quick food when I really can't be bothered to cook. I reckon I have enough treats to last until then. Hope they deliver about lunch time as I have to go for my repeat blood test at 08:55 that morning. Lily will not allow any excuses!
