SGL, you did make me smile first thing with your 'Oopsies'. It often happens to me when I am writing a post and someone snuckers in before I have finished 'composing' - like you and Yvie did last night as I didn't see your posts (before my last one) until this morning either. I'm glad, at least, that other people remember those names from the past.
Well I am hoping to get into the garden today - fingers crossed - but its time for tea now.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Jutro Ante. You snuckered in there. No need for you to apologise Ante. Some Rezzers who live further south than me are having a difficult time too with the heat and we a due yet another heat wave next week - though maybe not as hot as yours. I hope all your hard work earlier this year has not all been ruined. Take care Ante. See you later.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning everyone . Oh Ante I hope the heatwave goes soon ,you ย sound exhausted .Rest as much as you can before you go to your cottage .LB I hope that the rain keeps off so you can do some gardening. Busy I hope your electrician turns up .Waiting in for someone who doesnโt turn up is very tiring .Need a cuppa .
Gosh Busy, it seems that many things are thwarting you at the moment. I hope that your electrician does arrive today and that can be another tick for your 'to do' list.
Ruby, I am cautiously optimistic that today could be a day in the garden day.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning everyone,ย Well dozing on the sofa before bed caused me to have a bit of a sleepless night. Lay there for awhile feeling really tired, but eventually nodded off. Another beautiful sunny morning. Forecast for next week is high 30s too @Busy-Lizzie and although I'm enjoying our lovely summer I wish it would rain for awhile.ย ย Good to see you @Ante1 how is little cat. Hope she is much better now. Hope you get some rain soon too.ย ๐ย @Ladybird4 ย ย Hope you are able to play in the garden today. I'll join you with a cup of tea and @Rubee tooโ โโโ @Busy-Lizzie hope the electrician turns up and you don't have the problems you had before with them turning up on time. How is your OH. @Rubee hope you and OH slept well. How is Rosie, hope she feels better.
Think I'll have some toast with my tea, see you later.
Morning all. It's another sunny one, no wind and, for now, the temp's a very pleasant mid 20's. Another day of tidying / dead leafing etc I think.
SGL - At the moment the forecast here is for temps to be around 30C at the end of next week. I don't think it's going to be as dreadfully hot as it was a couple of weeks ago. Still a bit too hot for working outside for me but bearable in the shade.
BL - Been reading about the dire water situation in France and how some areas are starting to run low on drinking water. Papi Jo has started an interesting thread documenting how his beautiful garden fares now his departement has declared a complete ban on watering ornamental plants. I think that's no watering at all - not even watering cans. Presumably he can use waste water from washing up etc rather than just letting it go down the drain?
Made me smile reading all the posts about songs. Carole King's 'Tapestry' album was one of the soundtracks to my teenage years along with the LP's Bridge Over Troubled Water (S &G) and 'Imagine' by John Lennon. My friends and I would play them over and over in our bedrooms. I longed to look like Carole King on that album cover..ย
'Rain until September' wasn't on that album but it's my favourite Carole King song. I'll be singing it all day now๐๐

Hello Ante Iโll give you a wave ๐ Pleased to hear your little cat is safely back home, take care in the heat ๐ฅต SGL Iโm glad OH got on well with his physio and the Pilates this week, doing them on different days I hope he is feeling less tired now. Lovely to 'see' you Chive - I could really enjoy a dip in your pool just now! Would love to hear where you get to over the next couple of weeks - or maybe you'll just be by the pool with a good book - fabulous!ย
Whatever you do - enjoy your well earned break๐

Electrician should be coming this morning, should have been yesterday but his van's battery died.
