Good morning all. I feel a bit stiff this morning after tackling half the hedge yesterday but that will wear off soon. My car is going in for its first service today. They come and pick up my car and then return it once it has been done (and I get a little video showing them working on it! - why?) It is only almost 2 years old and has done just over 5K miles so I don't see there being any big problems.
I hope that you all have super days - I know that you will, Chive - and make them good ones.

Here is another hot and windy morning. I slept much better last night. I'll have an easy day today. Don't want admit to myself, but I have ten more days before return to school duties.

Ante its good to hear that you slept better last night but I cannot believe that you only have 10 days of 'freedom' left. Where has that time gone?!
I ordered two new dustbins on Saturday - one for my bird food because I need to move it into the garage - its taking up too much space in my titchy kitchen, and the other for my perlite, which is also in the garage. Now I need to clear a space for the two new bins so that will be today's task. I startled a ginormous spider yesterday whilst moving my step ladder out so fi ngers crossed I don't meet its relatives today.
Actually, speaking of spider relatives, my house this season has been inundated with lots and lots of harvestmen which I am forever rescuing and releasing in the garden. Has anyone else noticed this? I really like them with their tiny bodies and extraordinarily long legs.

Hi LB, the new hours mean I do 4x6 hour shifts rather than 2x4 and 2x8. I was finding the 8 hours too much as I am on my feet the whole time and not getting any younger.
I was getting into a pattern of not planning stuff or cancelling plans because I was tired and it felt too much bother and then feeling lonely and bored so I am making myself do more stuff with friends and family and it’s helping a lot.
We have the Commonwealth games here at the moment and with the warm weather there is a lovely positive buzz in the city I am not a sport fan but it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement This has been a difficult year for everyone but I am trying to be positive
Woke up early this morning in the CA (yet again!) Forecast is for temps 16-20 today. A few more jobs to tick off the to do list and then a few hours pottering in the garden is the plan.
I've got problems with both hips and left knee @Ladybird4 Gardening might become the height of my sporting activities from now on.
