Debs I have moved some around . One was a recent gift but it didn’t come with a name tag .l have had some roses in tubs those are the ones I have put in the ground . I know it’s the wrong time of year to move roses but I have never had a problem moving them at this time of year.

    Afternoon all.

Rubee, hope all your roses will survive moving and continue to grow.

I had plenty of rest today. It's another painfully hot day, hope one of the last this year. Tomorrow will be another day for cottage and watering veggies. Time passed so quickly, we must go back to school in ten day and pupils have time till September 4.

That water looks so inviting @Ante1, beautifully clean and clear.

I have a knee problem too and arthritic hands. My engagement ring won't even fit on my little finger now and son had to cut off my wedding ring because it hurt. But I will carry on gardening as long as I can. Looking forward to rose and daffodil ordering season.

At last I have found a GP. There is a big shortage here. A new doctor started in May. I rang for an appointment and got one today. He is willing to take me on and has ordered some blood tests, haven't had a blood test for years. But I think it will have to wait until I get back from Norfolk. My BP was OK.

Did some SM shopping this afternoon. I am off to stay a night with Daughter 1 tomorrow and Daughter 2 and family are coming here for the day on Thursday so I bought some things for lunch on Thursday.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Good afternoon all. Car was picked up this morning and I was a bit taken aback when the mechanic had to ask me how to deploy the wing mirrors. I manually close them - depressing the appropriate button - when driving into the drive as it is fairly narrow, which means they have to be manually opened after reversing out. Any other time it is automatic. I had to reach through the window to press the button for him. He wasn't a young guy and I would have thought he would have been au fait with the new Ford cars - other brands available. Anyway, I got the little video eventually which described my car perfectly fine apart from shock absorbers which were 'misting' due to fluid leak. Beyond my pay scale that! To cut a long story short they did not have the parts so Vinny will have to go back to garage on 26th to get put right. Its all covered under warranty so won't cost anything.
Debs, I have watched a lot of the Commonwealth Games and will be watching the closing ceremony tonight. Birmingham has done us proud!
Biglad, I can empathise with the left knee problem as that is my problem too. 20+ years of competitive squash and badminton have done that for me.
Ruby, good to hear that about your roses, Just Joey and Rhapsody in Blue in handy brother's garden moved well and have flowered prolifically for him this year.
Ante, that is a beautiful picture. I do hope that little creature was safe after having its cooling swim.
Busy my hands are bad which is why I keep knitting to try to make them stay as supple as possible. I have my Grandmother's Victorian engagement ring on the middle finger of my right hand but my knuckle is so large now I cannot get it off. The finger below the knuckle is still slim so the ring spins easily there. I will have to bite the bullet and get it cut off but its been on that finger for over 30 years and I dread having to do that. Well done for getting on a Doctor's panel, I wish I could find a Dentist. You have some more lovely family time to look forward to.

    Hi everyone,Β
Beautiful photo @Ante1 I'd love a swim in that lovely water too. Although once the deer had got out πŸ˜‚
@Ladybird4 have you watched the news today, it's been about the shortage of dentists. LB, if you ever have to have your grandmother's ring cut off, do go to a jewellers. They will be able to either make it bigger or repair the cut. They will have the proper tool to cut it neatly from your finger.Β
@Chivetalking glad you're having a lovely holiday. Another pretty photo.Β
@Biglad sorry you have a problem with your hips and left knee. Funny it's left knees, mine has been aching a bit these last few days too.Β
